There’s more references in Community. Season 5 episode 1.
the one quote doesn't make sense because Sacred Heart was always a teaching hospital, that's why they have intern doctors. I should have said Med School
Actually the Janitor was on an episode of Clone High. And I don't just mean Neil Flynn was playing a janitor. I mean Bill Lawrence "joked" they were the same character once and then Scrubs revealed that the Janitor had the same name as the one from Clone High.
Only Couger Town, and that has a weird relationship with Community where it's a fictional show to them but we saw an episode that Abed the character extra'd in.
@@dugonman8360It is possible, we don’t know where either take place, the clip of Malcolm going to the hospital was in the year 2000, and its possible Laverne was already working in that year, since Scrubs first aired in 2001
Which is weird because Courtney was on a few episodes of Scrubs as the new Chief of medicine, but in the Cougar Town universe, her and Ted have no prior history together.
Mickhead is there also, as well as a few other actors from Scrubs, but they don't acknowledge any prior canonical history. Weird crossover that Bill did.
There's also Chuck episode 4x13 where the characters are in the same Sacred Heart hospital site. Doubly funny considering that one of the main characters is played by the actress who also portrayed Lisa The Gift Shop Girl.
There was a show i saw once, can't even remember what it was where Eliza Coupe was in it and she tells the story of friends that had shirts made up with the time they were going out partying written on them that said something like "10pm to ?..."
I was half expecting the scene from the Office, season 5 Episode 26, where Jim and Pam find out they're pregnant, since it looked like it was in the Sacred Heart hospital site
It's 8n the video cause the same actress and set but she's got a different name on her tag in the Malcolm footage from what she has in scrubs and I can't recall any voice lines about the hospital in Malcolm but the sign can be blurryly seen in a couple of shots and it's different enough it can't be confused with scared heart hospital, but since the main writer or producer is behind both shows I wouldn't be suprised if the crossover is there because they might of been trying to pitch scrubs as a spin off originally because the first episode of scrubs didn't come out until 2 years after the last of Malcolm
Both shows had the same writer or producer something like that, someone who had a decent amount of power over the creative process of not only those two shows most of which are show in this clip and I wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to get scrubs made before Malcolm in the middle or at least got ideas from Malcolm that went forward into scrubs, the middle and community possibly even other things he worked on it's just those that I've seen to completion
No canonical connection that I am aware of, Travolta was never in Scrubs. Zach Braff (J.D) and Donald Faison (Turk) are best friends in real life, so that's why there in the T-Mobile commercials.
The Middle one was a deep cut, was that even intentional? Also Dewie stole Malcolm's thing, were they just turning Dewie into Malcolm at that point because Frankie Munez got to old?
Malcolm In The Middle predates Scubs and that episode in particular is from the first season of Malcom. Its not a reference just coincidence but nice try.
Is it a coincidence or would this technically make scrubs a spinoff of Malcolm in the middle? Like how I've heard family matters was a spinoff of perfect strangers. The wife/mom in fm was in ps. I've seen both but don't remember her in that so she must have had a small roll. But since they had her character in ps first fm qualified as a spinoff.

you missed on Troy (community) making the reference about Zach leaving scrubs! especially funny cause Donald was leaving Community lol
I find it incredibly odd for Sheldon Cooper to find Scrubs lovable considering it’s got quite a bit of sarcastic humor that likely went over his head
I feel like this has 2 layers to it becasue don't forget Jim Parsons was in Garden State. So its like him winking at ZB!
Nicely played! Great seeing all those familiar faces too
Yes, I was surprised too finding them!
Mmm that's not what the janitor would do in the car.. he would stop, look at them and say: "what are you looking at? Go on, scram"
True, but he wasn't the janitor. Many of these were more of a crossover, this one was just a reference.
yeah he plays the dad of the family here

Sacred Heart was always a teaching Hospital? :l
The actor who plays Dr Cox plays O'Sullivan in b99. I like to see it as a reference to Jordan in Scrubs

you know i find it weird that scrubs and the middle have 9 seasons, coincidence? i think not
The janitor must be behind this!
that's a common misconception, we all know the 9th season of Scrubs doesn't exist xD
@@diabrettic True. I think that what is referred to as the 9th season was originally labeled as a spin-off, hence the semicolon and subtitle.
This one's not so much a Scrubs reference but most of the cast appeared in episodes of "Clone High."
They're both Bill Lawrence creations
Actually the Janitor was on an episode of Clone High. And I don't just mean Neil Flynn was playing a janitor. I mean Bill Lawrence "joked" they were the same character once and then Scrubs revealed that the Janitor had the same name as the one from Clone High.

Malcom in the Middle is apart of the Scrubs universe in my head canon
Fits well! ;)
You can make a one hour video with just Cougar Town xD
So Scrubs, Cougar Town, Malcolm in the Middle, and The Middle are all in the same universe

I'm pretty sure Malcolm in the Middle. At least that season took place before scrubs. I could be wrong though.
I’m pretty sure Malcolm in the middle is at Sacred Heart 0:08
Obviously, why else would it be in the video?
@@krashdwell actually it might not be because someone pointed out it aired 2 years before scrubs first episode, I didn’t confirm though

Isn't the "last season" of Scrubs a spin-off? I thought it counted as one, with the title, theme song, cast and location changes
It was supposed to be, but the network decided it had to have the main Scrubs brand attached to it.
I like the one with mansfield from ground floor referencing dr. Cox my favorite scrubs character
That was the first season of Malcolm. Malcolm season 1 was 1 yeae before Scrubs aired its 1st season. It's possible this was a precursor but idk

The Middle reference was pretty cool
