Eating raw food is stupid - no really, cooked food is easier to digest, thus we can extract more nutrients, which made our brain grow big and stronk, going raw is for the bedroom, to prepare for some nice mabiki, not the dining table.

I was listening to this video and my wife walked by, then turned and asked, "did he just say emperors peepee?" Yes hunny, I'm learning history and the professor says peepee and poopoo.
It may just be raw fish but every time I have Salmon or Tuna that I cooked I always think "Damn... why did I cook this? It is better raw." and generally it is because the fish is not nearly fresh enough so I guess not being hideously sick is a good reason.
I live in the middle of Europe and yesterday, while promenading past the fish isle, I saw that they offered raw salmon cubes for those poke bowls (I guess). I'm 3 hours away from the Belgian coast if I drive like a grandma (trust me I do) but dang that's not convincing me to eat raw fish 😂

9:18 This is called "Ko(n)bu--maki/昆布巻き," not sushi at all but a sardine/other ingredients like burdock rolled up with Konbu/kelp and to simmer in dashi stock with soy sauce until soft.
Damn, now I just want to eat a hunk of raw fish. Tragic that doing so will give me enough parasites to make that one korean film look like amateur hour, but these are the sacrifices we make for delicious food

Yep, if you dont live on the coast and get your fish from reputable fishers, trusting the raw fish sushi gets trickier.
Farmed Salmon 🍣 is safe to eat
Raw because of the quality control
Fresh tuna is also safe because they’re really deep sea
You can also soak them in vinegar and or lemon/lime juice
