I love seeing 'Rebels' characters live action. I think they did spot on.
It is a tradition that when you leave the ancient temple with the artifact, you must be met by adversaries. It happened to Indiana Jones, to Dr. Aphra (is she still alive in this era?) and now to Ahsoka.
I hope Zeb will show up again, it was great seeing him in season 3 of Mandalorian, even if it was for less than a minute
He definitely will, they wouldn't have done that cgi work if they weren't going to bring him back at some point.
Yeah he’ll be back. It’ll take a few episodes before we get him but he will join the team.
They probably make a pit stop at that planet he's stationed at in Mando, to either recruit him for the mission or to find something out.

While I have never seen Clone Wars, nor Rebels, nor The Bad Batch, so I missed things that were nods to any of those shows, I felt this show had enough to have me quite interested and enough references for me to find nods to the content I have seen.

I read down quite a bit and didn't see anyone mention it so... Despite his comment to the contrary, Baylan and Shin are Dark Jedi. There's a lot of lore but (to keep it short) they use the dark side for personal gain.

Alyska we would never cancel you for not remembering characters that were from Rebels. But in case you had missed it that was Ryder Azati former Imperial governor of lothal before being arrested for treason serving prison time with Ephraim and Mira Bridger escaping and then becoming the leader of the Lothal rebel cell. Evidently in the years since the Galactic Civil War he has regained his standing as the governor of lothal. And that was Senator Jai Kell. Who was a friend and fellow Academy Cadet of Ezra before leaving the Imperial Academy and joining Ryder's cell. The last time that we saw him was during the battle for Lothal at the end of rebels

Not a big fan of any Star Wars streaming series with the exception of Andor (which is fantastic), and that is true so far of Ahsoka, which falls into the same traps as the others: terrible dialogue, predictable plots, no character development, no compelling storytelling, while trying to camouflage all those dramatic deficits with special effects and Easter Eggs references to other Star War moments and characters.
I'm a huge Ahsoka fan. She's my absolute favorite from the Star Wars universe. But this is NOT Ahsoka! It's just an ugly b.. in Togruta costume. Ahsoka is beautiful, this one is a hideous poultry. She resembles Ahsoka as much as Angelina Jolie resembled Lara Croft. Not at all!

The lightsaber architect droid Hyunyang appeared on few episodes of The Clones Wars. This is his first live-action appearance, voiced by the same voice actor David Tennant himself.
Yeah he was in the episode when Ashoka led youngLings to find and build their lightsabers.
“Skinny Waiste” is Asajj Ventress, for those who didn’t know 😂 Unfortunately, after bringing Quinlan Voss (her love interest) back from the dark side, Dooku killed her. Buuuut, maybe after Vos takes her body back to Dothomir, she’s revived by the spirits of her sisters? 🤔 A live action Ventress would be bad ass. Unlikely, but badass.
Ahsoka shines in the quiet moments of reflection as it slowly begins to take-off. Rosario Dawson is perfectly cast in the lead role.
Jai Kell was in Rebels as a good friend of Ezra. He was voiced by Dante Basco, who voiced Zuko in ATLA. The old guy with the green cloak was Governor Azadi, who also showed up in Rebels. He is played by the same guy who voiced him.
So excited for this series! Thanks for the reaction! Always enjoy you doing more Star Wars stuff!

Watching the premiere gave me that warm fuzzy feeling I get when experiencing Star Wars projects I love. Hopefully the rest of the series can keep it up!
Highlights of the first episode:
- Ahsoka’s first scene and the choreography of her fight with the droids
- Mary Elizabeth Winstead nailing the Space Mom energy and Natasha Bordizzo giving off Sabine’s former teen rebel vibes.
- Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati being intimidating new villains. While I still wish Ray Stevenson (RIP) was playing a Canon Joruus C’baoth, I’ve come around to him being an original character that nonetheless has a similar function to C’baoth.
- Seeing Huyang again for the first time since the clone wars.
- The various cinematic influences be it Ahsoka’s first scene (Akira Kurosawa movies) or Sabine’s on her bike (Top Gun, Akira and 2009’s Star Trek )
Ahsoka Tano was everyone’s favorite character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars without any doubt!

Should read Dark Disciple if you're interested in Ventress. Also stars Quinlan Vos. Was intended to be a Clone Wars arc before the show was canceled after season 6. Phenomenal book. Had me guessing and on the edge of my seat the entire time!
The map doesn't lead to Thrawn, it leads to the galaxy that Morgan knows Thrawn is in. That's why it was hidden in the ancient Nightsister stronghold.
I assume by skinny waist you mean Asajj Ventress. It’s been awhile since I watch your TCW reactions. If so then her fate has already been told. The book is “Dark Disciple” by Christie Golden. It was based off of a TCW arc written by Katie Lucas. They never made the arc but the story was so good it was converted.

The thing about the cat animal: It stayed outside of Sabine's house the whole time.
Why would pet (normally indoors) at home stay outside the door of its open home and never enter in even after Ahsoka followed up to check for any remaining clues?
And where was the droid that Sabine shot down the night before?
These are small details I appreciate that the show's team did. Some might feel that the droid popping down from the ceiling was random (or that there was a 3rd droid. That thought initially crossed my mind)... but if you piece it all together (along with Sabine mentioning later that these HK droids are resilient), it makes sense. We're pretty much in the dark in that moment, as if we're there with her and she's taking the lead.
She might have noticed something while we might have missed it, just like how interactions may be in reality.
Ray Stevenson played Baylan Skoll, so far he plays the role well. Great actor, he will be missed!

Shin could have killed Sabine but wounded her gravely instead with a thrust to the liver. Was it a practical ploy to distract Ahsoka long enough for a getaway or was she holding back? Perhaps both?
I was shocked 😲 😯 to learn Morgan Elsbeth was a Night Sister. In the games Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor (I apologize for spoilers 😓), there's another survivor of the Night Sisters, named Merrin. At first an antagonist in the first game, she becomes an ally and friend to the main protagonist, a survivor of the Jedi Order, Cal Kestis, by the end of it, and his love interest in the second game 🎮 😍🥰😉😁👍. (Once again, I apologize if I've spoiled anything for you 😓😣😔🙏.)

I've seen some negative online reviews criticizing Ahsoka for being too "too serious" in this series. I, however, love how she's now the master with a headstrong , young Padawan who doesn't always listen.
I can already see Anakin having to force ghost in here and remind her why he nicknamed her "Snips" when they first met.
I've also seen the recurring criticism about lightsaber combat as if they didn't catch that Sabine is out of practice. And that Darksiders have a habit of toying with inferior opponents

9:10 the map is a map of Purrgil hyperspace routes. Very ancient knowledge that probably could have been explained better.
Funny thing is, had Sabine only known that she possessed everything she needed to open the star chart using the hologram on Ahsokas' ship, she may have avoided getting skewered by Shin.

Neither Jedi nor Sith... but they do give off a vibe of the Old Republic. Sabine had some training when she had the Dark Saber, but she's not force-sensitive as I recall.
This was very solid and exciting first episode, seriously can’t wait for more of this season.
When you mentioned Sabine's connection to the force. I can think of another whose connection we never really saw, Leia. You did not know she had a force connection. She does not believe it herself, until she finds out she is Luke's sister and Luke says she is wrong about being able to use the force. One of the nice things the sequels did give us, is a little bit of Leia's training with Luke. (I believe Carrie Fisher's real-life daughter played the role for that training sequence).
Notice that Huyang's comment is about her aptitude. Not that she lacked the ability, only that her aptitude was lower than any student he had ever taught. Sabine is stubborn and she likely has her own blocks. The fact she says aloud that she never had the talent, not like Ezra, shows that she does not believe, and that is why she fails.

The Series is Good just Not a Great Start like Mando S1. I'm Feeling Ahsoka the Character but She is not showing Enough Emotions. Sanine I have yet to Warm Up to which might Take Some time. Hera is just there but Hopefully She Develops into a Great Leader.
The Stand Out is Definitely Baylan Skoll! He is Soooo Very Villainous while being So Composed. His Apprentice Shin Hati is as Reckless as Baylon is Cool. She has the Greatest Potential for Growth for Me.
