finally tutorials that are easy to understand! you are now my favorite tutorial person XD thank you for making it step by step easy and even print outs as well since i can't draw to save my life Lol
I am so happy for this and the bracers tutorial as I am going as Fem!Loki to an event in a month and have made both of these in only a matter of hours. Thank you so much :)
omfg thank you for this! all the other tutorials were very difficult especially since they were doing the shorter version of his staff, but this is bloody perfect for my cosplay! THANK YOU!
It looks great! Thanks for the help. You could probably make a lot selling it off of etsy. The 5 foot one sells around $400 I believe! Thank you once again.
You can usually find those little flashlights places like Walmart, drugstores, or gas stations. Or else, they should also have them for sale on Amazon.
Thank you so much!!! This is perfect! I can't wait to attempt to make it. I can't hear well, but what material did you say you used for the blade pieces?
Your video and link has been highly helpful, I went back to your Loki pattern link, as I'm sure I'm missing a part of the pattern, and the link no longer works. Comes up as a file not found. Is the any way you could sort this out? Your pattern is honestly the best I've found and comic con is next week! Everything is done, but the staff!
Sorry, I had to change website hosts and they don't have everything back up and running yet. If you want to private message me with your email address, I can you send you the pattern pdf directly.
When you set it up to print, tell it yes to print outside of the margins. See if that works. If not, copy the image from the pdf and repaste it into a word document. And then resize the image there so it's small enough to fit inside a standard paper margins.
I used photo mount board, like the stuff that goes in picture frames. I'm a photographers so I had some extra pieces lying around and thought I'd put it to use in a costume.
I think it depends on the paint type sometimes too. I didn't have a problem with the hot glue here, but I have other times on painted surfaces. Maybe glossy vs matte?
please, can someone explain me one thing?!?!? I am not a fluent in english so.. can someone write to me the name of the paper that she used to the staff?
Mine was an old broom handle, so it was somewhere around 4 feet long (though if you're tall, you might want something taller so the staff doesn't look short next to you)
As much as I'd love to do shoutouts for everyone who asks, I generally don't because if you do a shoutout for one person, then you have to be fair and do one for everyone, and it can get a little tricky trying to do shoutouts for that many people.
This. is. BEAUTIFUL! Finally an easy one I can afford *sniffs*

I love how this is a model that works, and that literally any kid can make by themselves. Good job!
This was soooo helpful!! all the other tutorials were difficult and used materials that I couldn't get so thanks sooo much!!! :)

Btw love this tutorial!

You can usually find those little flashlights places like Walmart, drugstores, or gas stations. Or else, they should also have them for sale on Amazon.

This is so awesome! It's so simple and cheap! It looks pretty good too, especially with the crystal! Thanks a lot! I'll be sure to try it!
Wow that's so much easier than I thought it would be :) thx
So brilliant 😍❤
Thank you so much!!! This is perfect! I can't wait to attempt to make it. I can't hear well, but what material did you say you used for the blade pieces?

The Woodland Elf Oh, that's so nice of you, thank you! I'll send you a message now =)
this is so cool, thx for making the video.
I can't wait to try this :)
Thanks 😊 Good luck.
The Woodland Elf no problem, and thank you :)
Re: Amaris Castillo - Sorry for the low sound. I used photo mount board for my blade pieces, but basically any thin, stiff cardboard will work.
What did you say for the crystal? It was a "dru making bead"?
"Jewelry making bead." Found it JoAnn's in the jewelry section. By the Blue Moon company.
The Woodland Elf what could you use to make it a shorter staff?
this is great! thanks for sharing
Glad you liked it, thank for watching 😊
I am trying to print the template but its saying its getting cut off, how should I resize it so I can print out the templates properly.
When you set it up to print, tell it yes to print outside of the margins. See if that works. If not, copy the image from the pdf and repaste it into a word document. And then resize the image there so it's small enough to fit inside a standard paper margins.
What brand of board did you use ? ... I used poster board and the s po ray paint crinkled it up .. :(
I used photo mount board, like the stuff that goes in picture frames. I'm a photographers so I had some extra pieces lying around and thought I'd put it to use in a costume.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for helping with me. I'm very thankfull...
Bless you :3
+Adryele Lima - You're welcome, good luck :-)
your SUCH a HELP! omg the heavens sent you
lol, thanks for watching :-)
I tried this and found that the hot glue didn't work on the painted surfaces. If I do it again, I'm using E6000 or something similar.
+Adryele Lima - It's photo mount board. Basically any strong, thin cardboard will work.
Oh, okay. Thank you so much for answering me :3
How long is the dowel rod you used
Mine was an old broom handle, so it was somewhere around 4 feet long (though if you're tall, you might want something taller so the staff doesn't look short next to you)
The Woodland Elf thank you
I've gotten several requests for this costume, so this week's project is making a Loki staff that actually glows.
#cosplay #costume #loki #theavengers
What is that glass called?
It was a resin jewelry bead by the "Blue Moon" company that I found in JoAnn Fabrics.
which use materials?
loki mil The stuff I used was photo mount board, but basically any strong, non-corrugated cardboard will work.
I'm gonna be making this for my Loki cosplay for a con i'm going to o3o
Being the bad guy is always fun at a convention. Good luck 😊
:)
OMG! I love this! I Need this! I WANT THIS! GIMME THE STAFF NOW!!! xDDD
There is no intro? It's ok. Also the crystal is an infinity stone. The stone is really yellow not blue! It is in a crystal.
Yeah, some of the earlier ones didn't have intros (or extros), but most of the newer ones do.
It's so cool can I have a shoutout
As much as I'd love to do shoutouts for everyone who asks, I generally don't because if you do a shoutout for one person, then you have to be fair and do one for everyone, and it can get a little tricky trying to do shoutouts for that many people.
