Also I have a few rakes and a few shovels and would be willing to do whatever work I can during the winter months when things slow down.

I'm thinking of starting up my own small licensed lawn care business. I own a couple 21in. walk behind mowers, 1 string trimmer, 1 hedge trimmer, 1 handheld blower w/vacuum kit, 2 chainsaws, and 1 edger. Can anyone tell me what I should charge per hour and per job with my business? I will be serving Southeastern Washington and I am a one man operation. I want to be able to make a good living salary to be able to support a family of 3, but I don't want to rip anyone off. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey Ben. You would just have to estimate how many hours you will work. If you have employees, do the same for them. If you don't know your costs, estimate those too. Anything is better than nothing and adjust it as you get the real numbers to work with. We are diving into number crunching, man hour rates, and pricing jobs my channel if you would like to check it out. All the best! - Ryan
