    I think the pitting in the stone add character & beauty to the stone. I like more natural looks so pits look better to me.

    Oh that is good, normally 3 bucks to ten bucks per carat, 300 is a little pricey but very nice stuff for sure. I'm an aspiring silver smith, and want to incorporate turquoise in my stuff, nice vid.

    That's so funny...I thought the stone you started cutting at about 14:00 would make a very fancy belt buckle. And then you said belt buckle.

    On a long stone like this, would it be better to add two(2) nails or some other brace on the back to avoid breaking?

    fascinating stuff..........but I would like to know...HOW does one take the nail off....

    • @jimb2855
      @jimb2855 7 років тому +2

      apply heat to the nail. Once the glue reaches it melting point, the stone will come off. Make sure the stone does not have far to fall so it won't break

    It is rare that Bisbee Turquoise is worth $300.00 per carat... standard Bisbee Turquoise is worth 3.00 per carat to 10.00 per carat. $300.00 per carat was a retail price obtained for deep blue, ultra glassy, ultra hard, natural Bisbee Turquoise with fire engine to blood red perfectly balanced spiderweb matrix

    • @Shukarr

      You hold the nail with pliers and heat it up so the glue melts and the stone falls off
