- Watch again as King Charles visited Notre Dame cathedral and a flower market in Paris on Thursday, 21 September, on his state visit to France.
His Majesty was accompanied by Queen Camilla for the trip, which is his 35th official visit to France and the Queen's ninth - however it is their first since they were crowned last year.
The tour of the cathedral and the market came after the King made a historic address to the French senate on Thursday morning.
Charles became the first British monarch to speak from the chamber as he branded global warming “our most existential challenge” a day after Rishi Sunak scaled back key green efforts to tackle climate change.
The King's 18-minute long speech prompted a standing ovation after he called for a new Entente Cordiale agreement between Britain and France to tackle the global climate emergency.

The crowds came out in force to welcome King Charles & Queen Camilla. People get to see they not stodgy old folks. They get a chance to see that just because they are royals they can talk , laugh & joke with others.
I was there during the fire which lasted all night, folks were crying screaming or on their knees praying.
I watched on television and it was heartbreaking to see the spire fall and the roof cave in.
I have been watching the progress of the reconstruction. From finding the huge trees needed for the roof beams from all over France, to cleaning and re carving statues, rebuilding this wonderful church has all been done to such a high standard.

Just love the French language - Charles and Camilla not so much!!!! Prince William’s humble visit to New York had me enthralled. There were absolutely no signs of entitlement or arrogance - just straight forward care for the people he saw and warmth. He met every expectation!!!!

Wonder why someone took Camilla's purse?
The queen had the umbrella in one hand and the purse in the other. It was cumbersome. The late Queen carried her handbag in the elbow fold. 70 years of practice😀
The late Queen was truly a lady and wonderful Queen. Camilla doesn't know that Royal ladies do not cross their legs at the knees. Camilla does this and in a recent photo the camera caught this and everyone could see all the way up her skirt. This does not bode well for what other parts of royal protocol she won't follow. No, I don't like her at all. She is a mistress and horse woman, not a great subject for the queen position.
