My gentle brother died after an incident in Dublin city 5yrs ago , & for months prior to his death he had spoken of being attacked & spit upon while using the Luas tram on his way home from town. He appeared on facetime with black eyes & bruises but would always brush it off saying they were just bullies & he could handle them... Until he couldnt... & he was found unconcious at his tram stop with massive brain trauma from a head wound.
We wait 2yrs for an inquest that reveals nothing more even though he is tracked across the city on CCTV all the way to his tram stop near OConnel street our citys main thoroughfare..where he collapses.
They covered it up yet again, because we were told by a detective at one point that it was taking so long because a suspect beggar whom my brother is seen giving money to, had left for his own country.
Yet my poor mother is given an undetermined verdict at his inquest...and a sad apology from the coroner, whose hands were tied by such an inadequate investigation.
As she said "in the absence of further evidence" there was no other verdict for her to give, the police said the cctv they told us initially had tracked him all across the city, now didnt show the last few minutes before he collapsed at the tram stop: its too ridiculous! & there are too many such incidents occurring , our country & way of life is under constant attack.

Garda tend to be good at crowed control they don’t have the numbers or didnt to control the crowed they could pen them in but not break. it now if it got too bad they would have called the defence forces to aid them. if that happened the crowed would have ran or panicked and tried to escape before the defence forces came because they would smack them silly. Now the gards will use cell towers to pin point all of their phones and use cctv to identify them even if they had a mask on and retroactively charge them for rioting.
