Really hope this comes to streaming before Christmas would love to be able to watch it. Just annoying that the cinemas near me here in the UK didn't want to show it. Hopefully it's success will make them think twice about rejecting similar films it in the future.

@@SRose-vp6ew unfortunately we don't have any ideas cinema near. I live in the Scottish Highlands. And we have a Vue cinema and a smaller more independent one. And neither have been playing it. So yeah I'm really hoping it comes to streaming services in the UK before Christmas. Really hope the reviews and it's box office takings might make some cinemas wake up. Maybe some might even regret they didn't bring it to their cinemas.
Molly Belle Wright did a REALLY good job in this movie. (she is the one who holds the title for being the youngest child to give a Ted Talk) she is a talented young lady. The movie was so good. Instant Christmas favorite.
I think ALL the child actors did a wonderful job. From her, to the girl who played Alice (She definitely nailed how snotty and self- righteous Alice was supposed to be), to of course all the kids who played the Herdmans, particularly Bea Schneider as Imogene. I guarantee this movie's going to get some Young Artists Awards nominations, and probably a win or two.

Great movie! The questions the Herdsman kids ask are so insightful. So refreshing to see this movie from the point of children who really knew nothing about the birth of Christ. Great story line Dallas 👏
I remember when this movie was made back in the 70s. My sisters and I cracked up because the kids were so wild!!!! The line, "Where was child welfare!" is gold!!!
Honestly, I love when kids interact with a story. I’ve been a preschool Sunday school teacher for 30+ years, and the thing I love most (after the kiddos themselves) is often being the first to tell them a Bible story.
When I watched this movie with my family. I never laughed so hard at this scene. Mostly because know one really pays attention to the details that the Christmas story actually has it just shows you how much we just skip over. 😂

I have loved the book since childhood. Excited to see the film. The waddled up clothes always makes me giggle. The Herdman’s are so relatable. I was a lot like them.

They remade it? I hope they kept the scene where the character played by Fairuza Balk in the original goes to tell the girl playing Mary that she's due on stage just as that girl is looking up at the Mary iconography and becoming Her.
I take it you've never taught a 5-Day Club or been involved in bus ministry, at least as it was in the late sixties through mid eighties. This is what happens when the church actually does its job and goes into all the world with the Gospel. My daughter was in this play in college and my wife and I swore she looked just like my mother in her 30's. It brought back so many memories of growing up as a PK.
Loved this scene! Perfect timing with all the lines. Somethings we would never stop to think about. These kids were just so good. Beatrice was "wow"!

The first time I read this story to a class of grade 2 students I laughed so hard I could barely read.
