Taeyeon. You are one of the first female idols and artists in general to ever change my life in such an extreme way. You introduced me to K-Pop and for almost ten years now, I have big a loyal and supporting fan of yours. I can’t thank you enough for the memories you’ve given me. You’ve stayed by my side for longer than some friends that I have. When I think about the happiness I’ve maintained and the good times I’ve shared with my older sister, who also takes the title of my best friend, it is you who is at the root of all of this. The world that you have allowed me to live in is a world that I’ll never be able to thank you enough for introducing me to. I was at my happiest during much simpler times when I was with you. As I grow up, I’m still delighted that I get to have with me, and I get to watch you mature as a person and an artist overtime. However, growing up is so difficult, as most people know, and I haven’t been as cheerful as I used to be. Without you, I wouldn’t have ties to my childhood that remind me of when I felt content with the world around me. You sincerely have done more for me just by being in my life than I can ever begin to take account for. Your artistry has become a part of me now and I am beyond lucky that I’ve gotten to witness what you’ve created. I’ve grown up with the comforting feeling of your voice. The familiarity of your voice, which is so soft like silk yet so powerful at the same time, brings me to a calmer mindset. It is so rich, smooth, and full of so much passion. Your versatility as an artist has been demonstrated through the countless songs and genres you’ve exercised through your voice. You really know no limits and can sing any song that you heart desires. Whatever you’re pulled to, you are able to express with your voice, and I have been surrounded by the sincerest emotions that pour out of every note you sing. Your dancing pairs just as fairly as your singing. Girls Generation have some of the most iconic choreographies, as do you as a solo artist, and for years now, you’ve brought to life the art of dance. You are an extremely skilled dancer who never runs out of energy. You’ve lit up the stage with each perfect movement. You have so much spirit that you fuse with your intricate dance moves, and each gesture has so much meaning behind it. You really compliment your other members when performing group choreographies, and you really bring the whole performance together. You are just a perfect dancer and there is so emotion when you do so. You always look like you’re having so much fun and you embody each choreography flawlessly. Overall, you are one of the most influential artists and performers this world has ever known. You’ve already gone done in history for being one of the most productive, revolutionary artists of this time period because of all that you’ve accomplished. This world is more than lucky that you were brought into to change the world with the music that you’ve created. As a person, you could not be more selfless and loving to those who have come into your life. To your members, you’ve been the most loyal and they would not be who they are or where they are without you. You’ve stay grounded and kept your composure just so they could have a future and be the greatest version of themselves. There is nothing more selfless than this, and I know that they could not become what they have without you. Their best memories contain you at the heart of them and I know they consider you through their entire life journey. You’ve changed their hearts forever for the better. To your Sones, you’ve been generous to in a similar way. Though you’ve had to deal with too much, you gave up whatever you needed to in order to ensure your Sones’ happiness. You are still making music and art today just to make sure that millions of people around the world are entertained and have a reason to believe in life. You couldn’t have treated us better, and you are the reason that I can remember what happiness feels like. I would have no recollection of better days if you didn’t show me the love you always have. You’ve always been there for us, even when you could have felt alone yourself. There’s no greater way to show love to another person than to make them feel valued. You’ve helped me feel pure, real happiness and I wouldn’t be who I am without you. I know your Sones feel the same way, and we will carry the love you’ve given us for the rest of our lives. Proud is the lamest word I can use for how I feel about how you’ve become. Somehow, you’ve endured through some of the worst pain that a person could ever go through. You’ve honestly been through some of the hardest occurrences life could ever throw, and somehow, you are here just as creative and positive as ever. I’ll never know what motivates you, but if there are any people who are stronger than you, it’s not many. You are still here despite grappling with more than most people can handle. You are beyond resilient and have been able to persevere through more than what most people can say that have. You inspire others to do the same, and if you can make it through, there is no reason we can’t either. I want to honor your parents, specifically your father on a day like this. I know they mean the world to you, and you wouldn’t be here without them. We know how much you love them and how grateful you are to them. I want to personally thank them both for raising you and helping you become the inspiring, admirable young woman that you are today. They can’t be anything other than proud of all that you’ve become, and I hope you never doubt that even for a second. We love and cherish them in the same way that they do, and I hope you always recognize that they love you most in this world. Taeyeon, thank you more than words can say for sacrificing your world for the life of others. To all of the emotions, efforts, hard work, doubts, and pain you’ve suffered through just to make one person smile, I acknowledge all of it in this letter and every day for the rest of my life. I hope you know how much you’ve sincerely changed the world for the better and how much you’ve taught it how to be a better place. You’ve given me what no other person can, and that is the ability to find joy in the absolute worst moments of my life. I wouldn’t be here without as wouldn’t the millions of Sones who love you years later. All we could ever ask is that you put your own happiness and health before all else in life because that’s all we could ever ask for. You’ve dedicated an entire lifetime to the happiness of others, when what matters most is yours. I hope you know we will always support you no matter what happens, and I hope you’ll let us be your family if you feel like you need one. You are of one of the bravest people I’ll ever know and you’ve given me a life full of moments I couldn’t forget if I tried. I hope this birthday helps you realize just how much love there is that exists in the world just for you. Please relax, and I hope your dreams come true on this special day! I hope you remember every moment to be nothing but full happiness and love for you; and that it goes down as one of the greatest days of your life. We love you more than words can ever say, and I hope you don’t ever feel obligated to change just to make others happy. We will always love you just the way you are. This is to the amazing person you’ve always been and will always be. I pray that you and your loved ones stay safe, and find happiness and worth in all that you do. Well i'll be damned. Did the exact same thing myself, but never uploaded it. I kept the sides instead of cropping it out though. This is the 4K Fancam, merged with the official M Countdown live performance. With 4k video, and a good amount of editing, yields this. Unfortunately it wouldn't work too well for the other members since only Taeyeon gets a lot of "front" screen time in this performance.
