    The music lacked any real creativity or imagination. I don't understand why the railroads seem to putter patch around. What difference is one worn rail in 50 miles of track? Why not replace the entire track line, although that would involve enormous time and expense, I can see that

      The music is all just UA-cam basic stuff. Curve rail wears out far faster than tangent rail, it has to be replaced on an almost yearly basis in some areas. We do have gangs that replace miles and miles of rail at a time. They are called steel gangs and they have nearly double the equipment of a curve gang. They can usually replace a lot of rail in a day, and usually both sides and often will replace 30 or 50 miles in a single project. It just takes a lot of time to complete, usually over the course of a few months
