The paint together with primer and bio wash does the job...be mindful of protecting yourself from the asbestos by wearing a mask and hazard suit...and take care when standing / moving around on the roof...most contractors use an airless spray gun for this reason
Couldn’t hear too well over the music, lot of camera judder and the camera didn’t show the primer going on, needed someone else hold it to show the painting taking place. Looked a decent job.
Hi Anthony...firstly. apologies for the very late reply. In response to your question, I would paint it in the exact same paint. Being water based it is safe and clean. I have heard PVA being used. Just remember to wear the correct PPE at all times.
how is its still allowed to be restored when asbestos? thats crazy in belgium it has to been removend. i hope u been wearing a suit and mask. a brush stil realizing fibers.
I would say its safer to handle the painted asbestos rather than unpainted as it adds some extra protection and binds the asbestos fibers. Would have been these tiles coated in pitch or tar by the factory during production, and then dip painted, these things would last longer than any type of roofing. Its a shame it hasn't been treated like so by the manufacture. Asbestos roofing is dangerous only if its moved or breaks, because thats when the fibers pollute the air.
thanks for this as I am going to paint my garage roof as it has asbestos sheets. Yes expensive to replace.
Hi I have a flat roof single garage asbestos is this stuff really good would save me loads Thanks

What do you recommend for painting the inside of a garage roof of similar stuff?
