Left Dewsbury for Canada in 76 used to love shopping at the market with Mum. We lived on Scouthill used to drop my brothers at the cinema for kids club before going to the market.
It was Eid mate therefore lots of muslim traders would have been off and also taxi drivers therefore many shoppers wouldn't have been able to come down.
Dewsbury market on Saturday is much much busier than that!
You visited it on Eid day, that’s why!!

I love Dewsbury nice honest people and loads of good quality shops 👌🏽 amazing place better than Dubai
