Bobby at Flav city just posted a new Costco shopping video. He has mentioned the sweet potato chips as well, he has suggestions for quick protein grabs- Longhorn or Outback are my treats as well. Nice to go out and still stick to comfortable choices. Your meal was exactly as I order- just discovered your channel, look forward to your content. We jive so far!
what a wonderful video Darlene!! I'm so glad you're taking good care of your health and are doing so well. I'm also trying to do low carb and I'm seeing the results. It's not easy at times but we can do it with God's help.💖🙌🙏
I like it when you take us shopping and talk about the foods you buy and why one item is better for you than another. Because of watching you and Bobby Parrish, I no longer have vegetable oil or canola oil in the house. I recently bought 2 spray oil misters and I put olive oil in one and avocado oil in the other. They have replaced the spray can of PAM, which I’ve learned is so bad for us. Little steps like this have helped us begin to eat healthier. It is wonderful to see you again on video. Yours are a breath of fresh air and so filled with kindness. I appreciate you and I think the Lord has you in the right place to help so many of us. ❤-Brenda
Thank you Brenda. You are so kind. Yes, I watch Bobby too. Do you have his app? I just love it. I’ve been using it for a while now. Lord bless, Darlene
Your hair looks better more today than yesterday. It has more bounce and is just healthier. I love the pouff around your ears. You are on the up and up, girl. With God's help you will continue. Congratulations and BIG HUGS.
Hi Darlene !! My name is Laurie from Pine Barren Nj . 3 adult children 1 grandson .. So grateful for my Church Family. We moved to our 1400 square foot about 3 years ago
Darlene you are looking wonderful! Your hair cut makes you look 10 years younger. Glad you are taking care of yourself. My husband and I did the same exact thing last year. I lost 50 pounds and he lost 72 pounds. It has been life changing. You can do it! Prayers for you and Lou.
Thank you Darlene I needed to hear that so bad. I’m going through some of the same things right now, I did great the first couple weeks and I’m at a standstill and carbs are calling my name. I really needed the encouragement and it’s good to know I’m not alone in this journey.
When I get too antsy I go for a walk believe me it helps. Temptations are always there unfortunately and we are human. It's OK to treat ourself once in awhile. I can have a day where my blood sugars just don't make sense, tomorrow will be better I don't fret too much over it.
My gluten sensitivity has been a blessing. I know I can't have those goodies I see in the store so they don't call my name. But I will use your mantra in the ice cream aisle for sure!!
@@jillbruce3624 hi there Jill👋🏼. Welcome to my channel. I hope you’ll subscribe and enjoy yourself here. I’ll have a new video out this week. See you then. 🤗 Darlene
Darlene,it sounds like you and I eat much the same way. I started this lifestyle almost 7 years ago. Back then my favorite snack was a box of Little Debbie's and a diet Dr.Pepper. I lost 85 pounds and have kept most of it off for all of these years. I still don't eat the sweets or bread . My hubby still eats the snack cakes and I still bake dessert for him but I don't partake. I've been experimenting with low carb, sugar free dessert and for special occasions I make them so that I can enjoy sweets. You've got this Sister Girl!❤️

So happy to see you! I've been praying for you! You know, back thirty or forty years ago, the prevailing attitude was that middle aged women couldn't lose weight. It wouldn't come off very easily. Thats a lie! My mom started at age 64 and 315 pounds. She's lost a total of 155 pounds, and is literally half her size now! She lost 55 pounds in her own, then another 100 pounds with Weight Watchers! And the only exercise she did was walking. She's maintained her weight by following her usual Weight Watchers plan and walking 30 mins. a day (3 10-minute walks...this helps her walk even with arthritis.) Draw inspiration from her! You can do it! I'm working on it myself. 😊
Love, love, love your haircut! You look younger! I’m eating this new way, too. More meat, eggs, cheese, and low carbs. I can’t give up all carbs. I just watch how much and make sure it’s complex carbs.
I lost 50 lbs in 2018. First thing I did was to get rid of everything that would not support my lifestyle/weight loss goal. It sounds like that is what you have done too. 👍I am no longer tempted by prepared treats and baked goods at the store because my kitchen has become an "ingredient kitchen". I only buy the ingredients to make things and we do occasionally have a dessert or treat but homemade. Have a happy and healthy day!
You look beautiful Darlene and love love your haircut. One of my down fall is chips so instead, I have been slicing an apple and eating that with my lunch. That’s help me with the crunchy urge. ❤️✝️🙏
Girl, you had me at sauerkraut & sausage. Love that for over 30 years. Congrats on your healthy journey. I know it hard, but worth it. I do keto and I do the lazy version. So many keto recipes out there and they are so creative.

Miss Darlene... I eat a certain way, have done it for years,... and I can share that with you, in the event you are interested... I would rather not post it, unless you - or someone- is interested. It is focused on eating mostly Protein, " Good Carbs ' ( veggies, etc Fruits, ...and on one or two days a week,( depending, lol).I eat whatever I want to. Even a slice of cake. Yes ma'am. Lol Because, I believe in not ' depriving oneself " of things one enjoys as far as food. My thing is Chocolate, always has been.... I eat Organic DARK Chocolate, it's one of my ' treats " . I can give you the Basic ' Food Plan :.. but please know in advance, I do n o t do anything that is : Fat Free. Low Carb. Reduced Fat. Low fat. " Skim "( ewwww. No. Lol) No. Lol. If you wish to substitute " Low Carb " ( I heard you mention about it in the Video ) that's perfectly okay. I use Sprouted Grain Bread, Sourdough, and even make Chocolate Rye Cookies with Rye flour, because Rye flour and Rye bread are on of the MOST Digestible things as far as Bread, and Flour. :). Let me know if you're interested, I can share it with you. It's simple, ...it is eating certain foods, certain days of the week and you can have whatever you want, " Cheat Day " ,one to 2 days a week. ( like Friday or on the Weekend). You are looking great, nice to see the Video ! P.S. - I was smiling when you were talking about the Beef ...it is pretty much vital for women to eat Red Meat... Grass fed, ( and Grass finished if possible) meat.Because there is an enzyme in it that women need. And you can't get it anywhere else. And it cannot be manufactured or man-made, so that's. Why I don't believe in being Vegan....because you will not be doing your Health any favors. :).
@Souperat60 ...thank you. ..I appreciate your reply. I will take that as you are not interested, so that's okay ; I was only mentioning it, to offer you some suggestions. Same to you ...best of luck.
@Souperat60 .... Thank you for your reply.....Yes, I have several Recipes, I use on a " Rotation " ,... and these are very simple. 1. Sprouted Grain or Sourdough French Toast, with a topping of cooked berries ( I use Strawberries and Blueberries, but any frozen or fresh cut up fruit is fine ). Usually I have this on Mondays or Tuesdays. Served with a protein of your liking.( 2-3 slices of bacon, or a piece of Ham steak, etc. ). I make a delicious Tuna Salad, served on Romaine " cups " or I sometimes roll up the Romaine . 2. Albacore Tuna , rinsed . ( I use Wild Planet ). Diced sweet red pepper, chopped celery, small amount of diced Shallot , a bit of Sweet Gherkin, chopped ( you can omit it this if you prefer . I sometimes do, lol, you csm omit the Shallot, or just regularonion if you prefer. ) Salt and Pepper. ( you can add other spices if you choose .. a bit of garlic powder. Onion powder. Thyme. ). Place ingredients in a bowl, squeeze half a lemon - or as much as needed to moisten the mixture - over all ingredients..mix and serve on the Romsine Cups, with Gluten free Crackers , or Rolled up inside the Romaine . This is usually a Lunch on Wednesday or Thursday. Or you can have it as a light Supper . When I make this recipe for the French toast, I make up enough Berries to put into a container and just put those in the Freezer...So you can have them at the ready when you want to have the French Toast. And you can also do the same thing with the Tuna salad, that will keep about two days in the refrigerator so you can have that ready if you want to make extra. I hope these may be of help to you. ...I have several more, as well. :).
