We watch letsdig18 as we appreciate what he brings to us. Hard working, determined to succeed and achieve the goals he sets for himself. Humble and all round good guy as portrayed in his videos. Dirt Perfect this is another brilliant podcast with co-host Dirt Boss.
Awesome podcast! I love the fact that you guys are just so down to earth I was a machine shop owner and just kind of got burned out so I started doing excavating on the side because my dad was always an excavator, and I can really relate to you guys, it’s almost like I feel like I’m working alongside you. Keep up the good work guys really appreciate it
That was a really good podcast. Really learned a lot about Chris. He's just to me he's a down-to-earth guy. Gets the job done. No BS, no fanfare. Just straight work and that's it. Stay the way you are. Don't go Hollywood on us and everything will be fine. Great video. 👍👍😀🇨🇦
that is about the most candid video ive seen of chris, awesome ,hes always seemed so down to earth, this just proves it. 2 big thumbs up,, started following him at the beaver dam busting videos,,it amazed me that an excavator could float, lol, picked up farmer mike shortly after video 1,,,personally have wrenched my whole carrier and not regreted it,but i love playin in the dirt,,,my 2 cents..go with what gifts god gave you, again another awesome vid
Chris is totally right when he says more people are watching youtube and not tv. We watch all you guys and love all of it. I really enjoy the timelapse when you are moving alot of dirt because it gives me a better understanding of what you are doing. I don't know anything about excavators except what I watch from you guys, I'm 60 years old, female and disabled and I can't wait for the next vid to come out. Tell Chris a few more timelapses would be awesome! Thank you guys for sharing with us!
I have watched Chris' videos for the past 10 years and I've learned more about him in this podcast than hundreds of hours of watching trees getting torn down or slop getting smoothed, crazy to say considering I'm only 23 years old. Chris and guys like you DP are what I believe is inspiring the next generation of operators and business owners or potential future business owners. Hearing stories like these of how other people pulled off what they worked so hard for really helps a young fella realize how it is possible and keeps them going at the end of the day.. Know you guys are having too much fun making these podcasts but just so you know they really help a lot of us younger guys as much as the oldest i bet.. Thank you
Yeah man, we pretty much cut TV out. I watch you guys all the time. There is more than enough to keep me busy on you Tube. As well as Real reality content , there is the educational aspect of it all! I have learned Quite a bit watching y'all! Thanks!
Excellent podcast!! I have been following LD18 for about 18 months and DP for about a year. Chris' answers were honest and sincere with no regrets for career choice, education, life choices, etc. Keep up the great work!!
Love the pod cast, like watching all the videos from letsdig18 ,dirt boss and dirt perfect. always interesting and informative. Thank you guys, Great job.
I can't say this enough, but Thanks for taking your time to do these videos for us. This one brought back so many great memories of how and why I began watching your videos. I had started working at a campground that had a a loader and a backhoe that we used for making repairs around the grounds and was left to myself most of the times to do things and not being one to shy away from trying something, especially when there was no one to watch and laugh to hard, I got on the backhoe and tried my hand at spreading some milling on some of the sites. I needed some guidance so off to UA-cam. First I found Andrew Camarta, watched some of his and discovered Letdig18 and was in total awe of how that Volvo was an extenson of his hands. The things and way he operated was remarkable. I remember writing a comment telling him that and how he would laugh if he could see me trying to operate that backhoe and was never thrilled more when you replied to keep with it and gave me some encouraging words. Thanks Chis. Through his channel I found Dirt Perfect and the first thing I said was, "he needs a 220" lol but as I watched more of his channel I saw where his jobs were different in ways he needed the dozers more and was learning a lot just by watching all the channels. I have used knowledge you all have passed on to all of us in ways that are different but has helped. Mike's explaination of how to use clay for the core of a dam lead me to stop a leak at a wall at work were water always seeping in. I wrote a quick thanks to Dirt Perfect. You guys are instilling a wealth of knowledge into so many with these videos. Thanks again.
I watch let's dig and dirt perfect and enjoy it. To let's dig point of shovel work, I have shoveled an entire truck tri axle load of gravel. I enjoy the hard work. I operated a dozer and motor grader. It's something I enjoyed. I am now disabled so I truly appreciate the time you all give to the videos. Love the stories.
Good to hear Chris on here. I like his channel and his sense of humor. You two guys seem like you really click when you're together too. Im glad you told him how much you enjoy Justin on his channel because i always like when he is on it too.
Great video Mr. DP. I have been subscribed to Chris' channel for a very long time and he is the king of UA-cam dirt work for a reason because he is real! He doesn't sugarcoat anything, and he doesn't do things on his videos that you can tell are scripted or pre-planned just to make the content better. A lot like you are doing with your channel. One of the reasons that I predict that yours will continue to grow as well.
I would love to see Charlie on the podcast if you could ever get him to sit down long enough to do it. He is a very interesting man, and I would like to know more about him growing up in Canada and moving to South Carolina and his venture into soil stabilization. I've been following him since his videos of line boring his excavators.
I was hoping Chris would do this. I know he's said he's normally not comfortable doing interviews like this. And he's pretty private. This was awesome though I love these, keep it up man 👊
The first video I watched was the one with the machine stuck in the pond !!!!!! Been watching every since Fantastic video every time, great 👍 to see you firm grow
I have been working in excavation since 93 and I like watching you guys to see what you do and how you do things to see if I can make myself a better operator. There are a lot of ways to do things and it’s interesting to see how you do it
Awesome video, I finally learned a little more about Chris as far as how he started his own business. I love watching all of you. Like you said, I hardly watch TV anymore because I have so many UA-cam channels to watch. There's not enough time to watch TV. I find myself going to bed early and getting up at night to you guys all night, Now that I'm retired. I'm wondering how Chris ever found time to get married. Mrs DP is funny and I love watching her too. Heading to the live show with her and you now. Can't believe it's 1:30 am and I'm still watching UA-cam. Who needs reality TV.
Mike, I’m almost speechless, this is one of the best podcast yet! I find it fascinating how/ when people explain how they got in business. I have always wanted my own business, but had no idea what to do, well I worked for a small company for 25 years learned how move machinery, operate cranes, drive truck hauling oversized loads, learned how to do it. The opportunity presented itself, I started in 2001 and still doing it. The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner! I really enjoy these podcasts.
I get more pleasure running equipment than I do breathing air. And you guys are the reason I’ve went forward with building my business. It’s a side job thing for now. But hopefully one day it will be more. I’ve made a ton of money with my 20 yr old skid steer. And I just bought my first brand new TL12.
Thanks for finding the time during your busy trip schedule to put together this podcast. Been hoping Letsdig would get interviewed for the channel for a long time and by golly this was great episode to watch and listen to! 👍
That was interesting..I am not in your business and (im 60) but I have interests in a lot of different things. I recognize a craftsmen when I see one and appreciate watching and learning from them, so thanks for doing and recording what you guys do.Chris you are a cool guy, I wont ever meet you but I appreciate that you are out there being you .You are humble and a real pro. Rock on.
This was another good one, y'all made some good points again, and it translates well across small businesses other than excavation and dirt work. Again, I hear things from this podcast that I remember hearing my late Dad talking about. Thanks for sharing again.
Thanks for the interview, it was great to hear all your stories. And I watched that excavator extraction and that’s when I started following Letsdig18. You all have good channels. Thanks for the ride along.
I enjoyed this podcast! I have watched Chris for the last year and seen all of his videos for the last 4. I am glad you put me on to this podcast! By watching the dirt perfect channel.
Yeah know both of you guys brought up great piont s. I've worked for myself and for others. Folks don't get what it is like ro have to do just to get the work. Let alone the paperwork involved. Out here on Washington state the red tape is a huge nitemare! And the old saying it so true ! No jobs is finished until the paperwork is done! I grew up in a vary small timber town. I learned alot! And you guys are 100% rite. Bring in the trades is great. But no one wants to do it! Look at the average age for truck drivers now days. Over 50! I'm 52 and yeas I'm pretty beat up worked blue color my whole life! And I wouldn't change aching! You guys are fun to watch ! Keep up the great work
The podcasts are getting better and better, 3 podcast my favorite UA-cam channels in one place, having worked in the excavating industry since I was 16 ( I'm 55 ) what I like about you 3 is its so real, and I can definitely relate to it, and I also learn from it.
Chris was my first subscription, he is an awesome guy and one of the best operators I have ever seen, I am drawn to honest, hardworking people, got DP off him another of the same people, just across the Ohio river from me! Great video!
I have only been watching the podcasts this year. Have not had time to go back and watch last seasons yet. Jerry and Clint were great podcasts but in my opinion this is by far the best one yet. I watch both Mike and Chris's channels and they are my favorite viewing. Anyway, as I said I think this is the best one yet!!!! Thanks Guys.
Another great podcast DP, happy you finally got Chris on the podcast. Very interesting backstory, very humble just down to earth man. Has a dry sense of humor and a quiet demeanor about him. Hopefully you were able to film a podcast with Mike the Dirtboss as well while y’all were in FLA. Keep it up Mike have a good one!!!!
Nice to see that you guys get along well. If I may suggest that you dispense with the caps on UA-cam so people can see faces! I enjoy all of the content from these 3 UA-cam channels.
Guys, thank you for this. I've been watching your stuff for a good while and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I grew up in a ranching family and we had an old pony motor D6 that I spent a lot of hours on, but that was 40 years ago. Great stuff.
Thanks for the video. I watch all 3 of you and you all are great. Chris was the frost one I started watching and then I found you and Dirt Boss. I watch you all every day. Thank you .
You are the backbone of the American way of life. Hard work, making a dream come true. God bless you for your honesty, integrity and modest outlook on life.
Always great to listen to guys that share a genuine love of equipment and the work. I have had the privilege to meet and spend some time with all of you and you couldn’t meet a more down to earth bunch! 👍🏻
Just watched and this one is a good one. I hope you have one with Dirt Boss (the other Mike) lined up to do. It’s great to see how you young boys have come into the business. Luckily for me I’m retired and can see y’all’s experiences without having to do them myself. Keep putting out great videos Mike. I like this better than the crap that’s on TV. Glad you got to spotlight another North Carolina guy.
Just discovered this site! Nice!! Chris can’t be too comfortable- nothing says Volvo . Noticed you didn’t take that timeline back to the days of blowing stuff up for laughs!! You’ve come a long way my friend. Good times.
TV been the shits lately, really glad you guys are posting more each day. Gets really slow in the winter, can't wait for you guys to get going full bore. Between Letsdig, Captain Kleeman, Dirt Perfect, NYA millential, C&C, Diry Boss, Farmer Chris, keeps me occupied, thanks for all you do.
Great video Mike and Chris. Best one so far. Chris, you were the first video I started watching that your trade I knew nothing about. Guess it would be like you watching me in a Commercial or Portrait Studio setting up product shots and lighting. That was my life's trade. But these last couple of years I have learned so much about your trade that my respect for your knowledge and trade has me addicted to checking the time of day when your next one comes out, and after saying to check out Mike on DP, I watch him also right after yours ends. Both of you have great work ethics and never do things half-way, so that too is the reason I am so dedicated....
Ive been watching chris for many years now since I was about 6 or 7 years old on a crummy old desktop. He has helped me solidify my interest in pursuing career the industry.
great video i have ben a scurber to chris sence 2009 and why i watch him and you is you and him keep it real from what is see some day i will get a chance to met you both i realy like the pod cast your doing keep them up
Great Episode, Chris's Excavator recovery video is what turned me onto his channel, and then his onto yours. I know zero about dirt work but love the equipment and the work is interesting.
Another great podcast. What I enjoy most is seeing people I can relate too. I despise the reality TV shows that are all scripted. I remember when I was trucking to Alaska and they were filming the Ice Road Truckers and all the guys running the haul road were pissed at them for being in the way. It was interesting to learn a little more about Chris and how he feels that the videos get boring. Sure he is doing the same kind of work, but the circumstances are different and I enjoy his comments and sense of humor. If people have not seen his demo videos they need to go back and watch those. I wish he would get more of the mobile home tear downs since his comments and humor are priceless. Congratulations to all of you and thanks a lot for the entertainment and sharing of some parts of your life.
Thanks for the video Mike. You and Chris put out a new video every day and I watch them every day on you tube because I stopped watching TV many years ago. I knew that Chris made videos that included Uncle John and I knew John and Chris were somehow connected to that happy smiling guy Justin. Now I think I know how John fits in but still don't know how Justin fits in because I actually thought John and Chris normally worked for Justin! Oh well and it doesn't matter because I love watching the videos and sometimes comment because long ago, I used to operate equipment as well but a really long time ago. Cheers from BC Canada.
i remember the daewoo videos and the old beaver damns i was probably like 6 or7 then im now 21 with my own mini starting my own thing been a long ride learned a lot from chris over the years!!! even found you DP from the first auction with chris and logger wade!!
Lots of good information guys. Y'all are right about no TV. The only thing I watch on TV is the weather and UA-cam. Well... I watch Tic Tok a little bit. Excavation is what I do and I learn things watching all you guy work. Thanks
Looked for that series Chris was part of on the Discovery Channel, Machines of Glory, when I found out about it a while back, but cannot find it anywhere unfortunately. I do know Chris, Justin and their teammate won the show though while I was searching for it, lol. Anyway, great podcast with the guys Mike.
another great podcast dirt perfect been watching letsdig 18 for a long time now and its nice 2 get 2 know and learn more about Chris keep up the good work
The very first Lets Dig 18 video I ever watch is titled "Let's Just Drive The Damn Thing" I immediately subscribed! If any of you haven't seen that one it's a must see video!
This is the one I've been waiting for. Chris comes across as a humble hardworking guy who takes pride in his work. This is the best podcast so far. I can't wait to hear Dirt Boss tell his story. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.
Great video Mike 🇺🇲 I really enjoyed learning more about you and Chris I started watching Chris a few years ago to learn something and have been watching every since keep up the great work DP 🇺🇲
Hey guys, great podcast. Speaking about college, I graduated from high school in 1975. The school I went to was one that if you didn't plan on going to college, we don't want to waste our time. I looked at my high school's web site, for some strange reason, just before I watched this podcast. They now mention trade school as well as community college. I was shocked. I guess they finally realize that not all people want to go to college, some of us want to work with our hands. I'm retired now after pounding nails for almost 47 years. I'm living pretty comfortably, and I can fix my own stuff.
No “drama”…, that is why I watch DP, Farmer Chris, Let’s Dig 18, Dirt Boss, C & C Equip., and many more…
Thank you sir.
Absolutely the best one yet, learned a lot about Chris and where he’s headed. Keep up the great videos DP.
Thanks
that is about the most candid video ive seen of chris, awesome ,hes always seemed so down to earth, this just proves it.
I loved this interview.I was one of the ones who started watching Chris after seeing him and John recover that excavator from the pond.
Thanks
EXCELLENT INTERVIEW, EDUCATIONAL & HISTORY TOO. THANKS FOR EVERY THING YOU ALL DO FOR YOUR COMMUNITIES & CUSTOMERS.
Success means DP, Letsdig18, et al. Hard work and brains. Bravo!!!

I can't say this enough, but Thanks for taking your time to do these videos for us. This one brought back so many great memories of how and why I began watching your videos. Chris’s Uncle is highly complimentary of his skills! I saw an interview about him years ago!
I get more pleasure running equipment than I do breathing air. And you guys are the reason I’ve went forward with building my business. It’s a side job thing for now.
Thanks Jim
Great video Mike and Chris. Best one so far. Chris, you were the first video I started watching that your trade I knew nothing about. Guess it would be like you watching me in a Commercial or Portrait Studio setting up product shots and lighting. That was my life's trade. But these last couple of years I have learned so much about your trade that my respect for your knowledge and trade has me addicted to checking the time of day when your next one comes out, and after saying to check out Mike on DP, I watch him also right after yours ends. Both of you have great work ethics and never do things half-way, so that too is the reason I am so dedicated....
Thanks
Ive been watching chris for many years now since I was about 6 or 7 years old on a crummy old desktop. He has helped me solidify my interest in pursuing career the industry.
ok so im late to watching the podcast videos but i find these fill in alot of gaps on the people i watch all the time . Cheers

Great Episode, Chris's Excavator recovery video is what turned me onto his channel, and then his onto yours. I know zero about dirt work but love the equipment and the work is interesting.
“That kid from North Carolina” needs to do this again! We didn’t hear anything about the seven dogs at home!
Enjoyable episode. 👍🏼
Another great informative podcast. Always learn a lot about people thanks to these. Keep up the good work.
Didn't even know about this channel DP so glad I found it.Great podcast love Chris's channel Letsdig18 is the bomb 👍🏻
Thanks
Yea really enjoyed this, been following Chris for a while and the stuck excavator was one of my favs.
Great video and stories. Thank you for the time and effort put into it
Another great podcast. Listening to letsdig18 was very good
You guys was talking about Joplin mo the 2011 tornado .. I live in Joplin mo was in the tornado in st.johns hospital that was hit
I remember when Chris started,, I was hooked from the beginning.
Loved it. Best one yet. It has given drive to move on with my plans for UA-cam.
i remember the daewoo videos and the old beaver damns i was probably like 6 or7 then im now 21 with my own mini starting my own thing been a long ride learned a lot from chris over the years!!! even found you DP from the first auction with chris and logger wade!!
It was great listening to you interviewing Chris , learned a lot about him I didn't know or learned from his videos.
Lots of good information guys. Y'all are right about no TV. The only thing I watch on TV is the weather and UA-cam. Well... I watch Tic Tok a little bit. Excavation is what I do and I learn things watching all you guy work. Thanks
Another nice video to listening to
Another gem, thanks for prying open letsdig18.
And it was the crank call with logger wade, look it up on Chris’ channel for some yuks!!!
Thanks for sharing
Interesting to hear peoples stories

My favorite Let’s Dig video is “The Day I Owned Sany”
Looked for that series Chris was part of on the Discovery Channel, Machines of Glory, when I found out about it a while back, but cannot find it anywhere unfortunately. I do know Chris, Justin and their teammate won the show though while I was searching for it, lol. Anyway, great podcast with the guys Mike.
