The speed comes from pressing two viable inputs for a direction at once, I knew of this bug but never fixed it because it didn't give a blatant advantage in actual runs and because I knew it would be hilarious to see it used for a full TAS like this
I was confused about that at first but apparently you can become faster after grabbing two keys, the speeds with keys is slower but grabbing two makes the speeds add together

@@hypenheimer Hello there! im the creator of the TAS here to explain, the reason for the left movement boost in monolith comes from two things, corner boosts which are the simplest to explain, you just go left the first frame your wall collision leaves a wall but is still able to hit your head collision. As for the speed in general, it's just because of the way the keys physics in vault work, yoreid never intended for the player to get multiple keys so the horizontal speed adds up with both of them, which would otherwise cancel out if there was only a key in hand. This comes with the downside though, or benefit, that the jump height is almost 0 unless you hyperjump, it kinda comes in handy for monolith because of the layout structure.
This is a personal tassing and speedrunning copy of the level I made with 2.2 fixes and optimizations. Yoreid himself isnt working on a patch for the og level as the level is long forgotten and he finds it kinda pointless. But I could probably upload my copy, I have stuff to finish, this wont be my last time messing with floating outskirts, I have lots of cool stuff to do
