  • Depeche Mode with Martin Gore on lead vocals performing "I Want You Now" during the 1994 Exotic tour set to Anton Corbijn's stunning film projection. The film projection was originally created and used for the live performances of "Judas" and "A Question of Lust" during the 1993 Devotional Tour. For the 1994 Exotic and North America Summer tours, the film projection was used for the live performances of "I Want You Now" which was added to the set list and remixed by Alan Wilder. The original version of "I Want You Now" appears on Depeche Mode's 1987 album "Music For The Masses." Depeche Mode were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in November 2020. With this arrangement by Alan, this song is perfect for me: words, voice, music - everything perfectly captures the meaning and feelings.❤❤

You can really hear Recoil's 1997 album in this rendition. Also during this tour everyone pretty much was self destructing and only Alan and Dave were left during this performance.

Oh yeah. Alan and Dave were very real. Dave has opened up, he can be vulnerable too. And Alan then: Mr. Concentration.🫶🫶
I respect the guys, they were able to stop then.❤❤❤❤

Those where the times when they really put some effort into their live versions.

Oh yeah. These were difficult times for all of them. Andy periodically "jumped ship." But they gave it their all at the concerts.

Alan feels which song reveals itself better in which arrangement. Somebady is piano, and this one has a sensual melody.
When Martin sings and plays the guitar, the song doesn't come out fully. Only with the arrangement does he fully convey his feelings. It looks cool.
