Great review. Exactly what I was looking for. Like the summary at the end and conclusion. I live in apartment and just need to be able to hear dialogue better. This will be perfect for my needs. Thanks bud. Just ordered from Amazon. Was $68 with a $5 off coupon. Update: Received the sound bar and I am extremely happy with it. I can hear dialogue so much clearer. Sound is so much crisper and dynamic. It's not a huge sound I would get from a full 5.1 sound system. But just enough for what I need living in a small apartment with noise coming through the window. I have an older model LG flat screen without an optical connection. I thought it had an RCA connection but it turns out it's input only. I know, crappy tv. So I ended up connecting the bar to my cable box. All good. Anyway, just wanted to give an update and let thumbs up!👍

Do you know if you can have the soundbar turn on when you turn the TV on simultaneously? Or would you just leave the soundbar on all of the time even when TV is off?
I believe when I tested the soundbar stayed on I had to use the soundbar Remote to turn it off separate from the tv being turned off. from what I could recall
@@WannaBuyIt thanks for the response. Yeah that is my experience as well. This is my first soundbar, and I am curious, is it common to turn the soundbar on separately from the tv?
@@JasonsSongStop There are a good amount of soundbars that do that. I tested a few where I had to turn off with different remotes. Hey bud, I've watched a few of your videos and have subscribed. My grandmother is 98 and becoming quite hard of hearing. Would this be a good option for something which clarifies dialogue, or do you recommend another model? I was considering a few of the Polk soundbars (Mini and S2) but I really didn't want to have to deal with an external subwoofer if I didn't have to. I know that ZVOX makes TV speakers and sound bars which are oriented for those who may need a hearing aid, but I would also like something which has Bluetooth connectivity so I could play her audio from my mobile device. In addition to playing audio from my mobile device, generally streaming from the Internet or downloaded FLAC and MP3 files, she also watches a lot of music and retro/nostalgia programming on television, and sometimes the audio there isn't the greatest, especially on some of the older films and TV programs. Thanks!
I asked this elsewhere, but while I really like the Polk S2, I don't like the 15 minute auto shut off feature that I'm reading about for that device. Could you recommend anything similar? I'm also torn between the taotronics and the tcl sound bars you have reviewed, but I ultimately just want to make sure that these devices have good dialogue clarity, are able to be accessed via Bluetooth, and as I said, don't have an auto shut off feature that is too short. We tend to be interrupted by company or phone calls throughout the day. Thanks :)
