✔️ Superb Rendition ✔️ Not a single mistake ✔️ No coughing If you had played me just the audio and said it was a studio recording, I would have believed you. It’s hard to fathom how a performance of this caliber was recorded in an international competition such as this. Truly a one-of-a-kind video we have here.
Amazing rendition, surprisingly free, fresh and flexible. I think Bozhanov's mazurkas and this Rondo have been probably the strongest artistic achievements of all the Chopin competition 2010, giving us much, much more in understanding Chopin's style than the competition winner.
This guy is really a genius. His performance of this at the Cliburn a year earlier is probably the most astonishing competition performance I've ever heard. Like listening to one of the greats from the past.
He's easily one of if not the most original and refreshing pianist on the concert circuit at present. It's a travesty that he didn't place higher in the Cliburn/Chopin competitions...
His style of playing reminds me of the originality and uniqueness of the expression of old masters like Horowitz or Rubinstein: after a few seconds you can recognize who was sitting at the piano.
Great interpretation of this unusual but stunningly conceived work of music. Like most of Chopin, unique and redolent of nothing but the composer’s mind. And what a mind it must have been.
He was essentially tied all the way through, then didn't come through in the Concerto, and the jury inexplicably decided to ignore the scores from all prior rounds. It made NO sense. I have all the scores. He should have come second overall, but came fourth, which is absurd.
@@HelsyV2 Avdeeva and Bozhanov were essentially tied all the way through. She was the official winner, and would have won regardless. But who has become the most famous? Trifonov, who came third.
He didn’t win because this year was crazy, iven triffonov genius alive won 3 place, but agree with you, at least share 3 place or 2, much more better than Juliana andreva.
Bozhanov is the more aggressive percussive player than Trifonov, but Trifonov is more quiet, flowing and graceful. I liked Bozhanov's take on this rondo better than Trifonov's, but Trifonov has a better foundation to work some real magic.

There is a video of the score with his recording, this whole time I thought it was a studio recording until I just discovered it's from here!
Absolutely brilliant! A real genius! Incredibly perfect!
Best of best of best of best of best perfomance

какое чудо,оживший Гофман!но в своем неповторимом стиле,редкий очень пианист,уникум!!!
Still mad he didn’t win with this... 9 years later
He didint? Oh my god.
So am I ,Spencer!
He is a real winner
I think the real winner is Ingolf Wunder. Bozhanow is also very good.
@@stanisawkoziarski5929 Ingolf Wunder and Evgeni Bozhanov were both deserving of the gold medal... just not Yulianna Avdeeva.
He has very fine control. Wonderful touch and superb playing

on the head; his sound is strongly of 'the great, passed masters'
it sounds better than cliburn personally
Definately, so much character and sensitivity in his playing!
@@CapetownCarework Having the sound of "the great, passed masters" is not to be ashamed, but to be proud

Too good! I can't stop listening to his rendition. :)
best rendition and no mistakes! Super clean playing! Amazing!!!
Un upcoming Lugansky with his own very distinctive style BRAVO
His style of playing reminds me of the originality and uniqueness of the expression of old masters like Horowitz or Rubinstein: after a few seconds you can recognize who was sitting at the piano.
FANTASTIC!
What a charming piece for a 16-year-old, performed brilliantly.
in 2010 he was 26, but yes, it stil is a charming piece, performed brilliantly ;o)
@@martinhnilo7961 he was referring to Chopin's age.
不管结果如何,他得到了大家的认可🎉
Great performance
Superbly musical! Here's hoping this man enjoys a long and rewarding career!
Блестяще ! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
absolutely wonderful playing

He is so entertaining! Seriously!
Genius
He believed that hearing Miyu Shyndo's performance reached heaven. This interpretation made me reach paradise
Who told you that?
I like it; I like the rhythm - how he keeps it moving, but I think he could play with greater dynamic variation. Listen to Bruce Liu play this.
No thanks
He really was one of the best. Listening to him again I hear so much enjoy in his playing. It's like violin music on the piano.
Great interpretation of this unusual but stunningly conceived work of music. Like most of Chopin, unique and redolent of nothing but the composer’s mind. And what a mind it must have been.
Increible la articulación y dinàmicas!
A sparkle of God's greatness
This is unbelievable.
wow
Евгени, гордеем се с теб! Прекрасно!
I am discovering him here : how is it possible that he didn't win ?

OMG 6:30 ! those trills are heaven!
Superbly fresh and clear rendition. A tad too aggressive overall for my taste, but it’s still astonishing!
Great interpretation and great technique, I only knew Ashkenazy 's interpretation
Ashkenazy studies the notes. Bozh 'takes the noes for granted' and adds his immensely musical 'feel' and pianism.
@@janicezany Also Sviatoslav Richter gave a great interpretation of this piece
