Amongst other minor mistakes.....
In Europe, they often name a conflict by the year it started or by the number of years the conflict had lasted (e.g: Thirty-Year War, Hundreds Year War,.....). This naming style is really annoying and anachronistic. I prefer having a proper or specific name though.
@@sandeepgill9975 yup. These naming are somehow confusing. Such as the Seven Year's War name. There are many conflicts throughout history that also last approximately seven years. Just simply name it Anglo-French war.

I always thought from books on the topic that England held a larger chunk of Aquitaine for the mid and later portions of this war (Edward III through Henry V), stretching from the Gironde to the border with Navarre along the coast. Is this incorrect in light of new research or something?
Big revolt. The French were losing badly after Poitier and with the King prisoner of the English, his son the Dauphin tried to call things down and to assert his power in the capital but the populous went into a frenzy and basically gave the city to a wealthy commoner who was then more or less the equivalent of the mayor of Paris (« provost of the merchants of Paris ») named Etienne Marcel. The Dauphin was captured by this guy who suddenly became the most powerful man in the country. However the Dauphin quickly escaped and assembled an army and some Parisians finally turned on Marcel and killed him before the French prince arrived in Paris.
And what if I tell you that was actually the second hundred year wars between France and England ? There was another one, less know, between 1159 to 1259.
This video is more fiction than an actually researched work. It shows the author didn't even have a clue about how the borders of the kingdom of France looked at this point in history. I can only assume the casualty numbers and their rate are also a total guess to make quick content. Other mappers have done much better jobs at mapping out this conflict.
@@PelsckoPolesko in fact. At 2:39 in 1336 at that precise moment there was a territorial change of 100 cm, therefore the author of the video is wrong for not mentioning that detail 🤓☝🏻

Tu couleras toujours dans l’heureuse vallée;

No, it was :
-French Royal family of England want the Throne of France because they are cousins of the French Royal family of France
Jeanne !! Au secours !
It kills me how, if it wasn't for Joan of Arc and the Pope, the war could had lasted for decades more...
Joan of Arc is the most famous but not the most important part of the war :
The war had up and downs and before her French generals, like du Guesclin, made France have the upper hand in the war.
I farted.

I gonna smeel it
Taking a shit right now.

a few mistakes despite an awesome job. The entirety of Dauphiné becomes French as of 1349 and not only current Drôme. Also, Poitiers is only retaken by the French in 1372 and 23kms South of Poitiers is Gençay that is retaken by the French in 1375. The English lose grip on Poitou much slower than shown here.
Guess they got too carried away with Napoleon after the Seven Years’ War. Can’t say that about the rest of the world however…
@@sandeepgill9975 yup. These naming are somehow confusing. Such as the Seven Year's War name. There are many conflicts throughout history that also last approximately seven years. Just simply name it Anglo-French war.
@@Nishkid641 Ehh.. better than ‘8th x-x war’
@sandeepgill9975 "Eighth Anglo-French War" is good too at least it specifies what a conflict is about. We do have "Seventh Crusade," "Eighth Crusade. "

Could I ask if UA-cam allows you to monetise your video since you are using Google Earth Map? I understand you have made improvements over their original map by adding animation and overlay video/graphics/photos. Is it enough for UA-cam to let you monetise?
I always thought from books on the topic that England held a larger chunk of Aquitaine for the mid and later portions of this war (Edward III through Henry V), stretching from the Gironde to the border with Navarre along the coast. Is this incorrect in light of new research or something?
I thought the same, you might be right

Agincourt fue para francia lo que cannas para roma....era desaparecer o seguir luchando....y al final ambos vencieron...
Damn! In spanish too you say Agincourt with a G !? Why????
1:48 what happened in Paris in that moment (1358 AD) ?
Peasant revolt
Longest civil war ever
Very nice
I never thought it was actually 100 years 💀
And what if I tell you that was actually the second hundred year wars between France and England ?
There was another one, less know, between 1159 to 1259.
There is actually another hundred years war fought by france and england 😂
Ok it will just be a special operation that should not take more than three days.
Whats next? The *Reconquista* ?
Can you fo Thai-burmrse war next? No one has ever mapped the conflict despite having almost a million death and far more casualties than that
This video is more fiction than an actually researched work. It shows the author didn't even have a clue about how the borders of the kingdom of France looked at this point in history. I can only assume the casualty numbers and their rate are also a total guess to make quick content. Other mappers have done much better jobs at mapping out this conflict.

@@magiccc8841ah yes, calling someone a nerd on a history video
@@PelsckoPolesko in fact. At 2:39 in 1336 at that precise moment there was a territorial change of 100 cm, therefore the author of the video is wrong for not mentioning that detail 🤓☝🏻
At this point it should be clear that he take his sources from wikipedia, for context, ive analized his "battle of stalingrad" video and went to wikipedia to see if the number was there.
Yes it was, however it is the highest estimate, i dont like you people shaming these creators who can do better than you and then you comment bullshit like: "ugm achually this video is incorrect and casualties are not true" without coming with evidence to whether or not this video is completly false or not, please respond with actual evidence and i might change my mind.
Adding onto my comment, i did check if the hundred years war had that many casualties, and would you look at that, he uses the highest amount of casualties, i wonder where ive seen this before...
Jokes aside, i also wanna mention how people say wikipedia is pro-american or something even though it isnt, it can be edited by anyone that has an account and actual facts are put there, a major example is when croatian nationalists tried to potray themselves as victims in the nazi occupation of yugoslavia even though they were more like collaborators.
