@@chefdan87 Alright, I'll take the time to explain this! I do actually do my research, so I'll cite my sources as well! We can start with his claims that 'the United States is not systemically racist', as stated in the video 'Men and The Conservative Vision'. This is a really big one for me, as it's the easiest to explain and the most obvious claim to debunk. To put it simply, the systems of today, while not explicitly racist in theory, do not do enough to account for the effects of the historic racism in the United States, leaving many black communities in a severe economic disadvantage compared to white families that are more likely to have generational wealth providing a more stable living conditions. America has not done a satisfactory job in healing these wounds, and the divide continues to grow. I am not an expert in this field myself, however, if you are genuinely interested, I can recommend "Progressive Dystopia" by Savannah Shange, and “The Condemnation of Blackness: Race, Crime, and the Making of Modern Urban America” by Khalil Gibran Muhammad. They are both phenomenal reads, and absolutely worth your time! They explore these topics in depth in a way that I simply can't accomplish in a UA-cam Comment Section. Jordan Peterson dismisses all of this out of hand, without proper evidence to support his claim. To move onto the sexism, I think I can cite an article from The New York Times, a news source that I myself have my problems with, simply titled 'Jordan Peterson, Custodian of the Patriarchy'. In this article, the flaws of Peterson's hierarchical worldview, something of which he has almost entirely built his philosophy around, are brought to the center of attention and criticized. I believe his most famous example he uses to justify his hierarchical worldview is the one with the lobsters, however, I don't see the need to debunk the actual science behind that claim, as the philosophical meaning he gleams from it is more important than the actual reality. His worldview is strict and unchanging, the world is made up of hierarchies, and these are unchangeable, they're natural. These are the terms he uses to describe it, and in doing so, defending wealth gaps, a patriarchal society, and every other problem with our modern society. He treats man-made social concepts as immovable truth, when they're just as malleable as the rest of us. He never argues for a solution, he simply says that there isn't one. I don't know how well I can explain my viewpoint in a comment, but I hope that this has helped assure you that my position is not one of mindlessness, and rather, a conclusion that I have drawn after many hours doing my own personal research.
