Tbh I'm glad you stood your ground with Miche. I have low porosity hair and I feel her products are tailored to people with high porosity. Her deep conditioners sat on top of my hair. I haven't tried other products because they are SO pricey. This black Friday I'm ONLY getting my staples. I'm going back to my DIY days when I had a twa and using my bentonite clay to cleanse my hair. I only aspire to restock on deep conditioners, refresher sprays and stylers.

My main gripe with Miche was her products weren’t consistent. The first time I bought her shampoo, I loved it, but the second time I bought it left an oily residue on my hair. I haven’t repurchased anything since my second repurchase because I can’t stand when brands have product inconsistencies. It’s the same reason why I no longer buy from Camille Rose or Honey’s Handmade.
Here to say that none of these brands surprise me anymore, but your situation was NOT an isolated incident. I hope they do better by you and the folks who have promoted them for FREE for years with your own money and resources. What a shame. We love you Rae ❤

I think there is a little more to it than discount codes, but a discount code is a small show of appreciation for the traffic that we send their way because of our videos. Anywho, thanks for watching and supporting my content.
It's not surprising to hear about yet another brand owner who doesn't appreciate the influencer or what they have already brought to the table. However, a brand owner who started out on UA-cam, you would have a tinsy ounce of hope that they would be different because they understand what it takes and how much work is put in on UA-cam and the value the influencer brings. Hopefully it was just her people and not her and hopefully she can make a correction to this approach/policy moving forward. It's time for a change in this community in the New Year! 💯💯
It makes me mad when I hear these companies trying to take advantage of natural hair UA-camrs. I would’ve done the same thing you did. I haven’t bought Miche since they shrank the products and raised their prices.

I am not purchasing from Honey's Handmade. They're customer service is horrible. I purchased items in July and still missing 4 items from everything I purchased.
@@breewright1415 On top of that their products have major inconsistencies. When I first ordered from them their products were thick, and performance wasn’t too bad, but the second and third time I ordered from them, they were significantly watered down and felt waxy and greasy.

That's kind of like when I pointed out the fact that their bundle wasn't discounted, and they didn't do anything to change it at that time. I don't know if they have fixed it since, but based on what you said about the discount code I definitely have no plans on supporting the brand in the future. Once I use up what I have in my stash that's it for me. So thank you for sharing your experience. If a brand doesn't support my ladies, I'm sorry but I can't support your brand any more, it's about the principle of the matter. Yep, I do make it known when I love a product, but I am not looking for an apology...just a change. If they change their stance, then I will give them a second chance, if they don't, I won't. I appreciate you.
While I do like some Miche products, I'm not a fan of some of their deceptive marketing practices. For example, they will heavily advertise that their limited edition products are only available for a certain time, charge more for those products, and claim you need to buy before the products are gone, etc. These products are never truly gone for long... If you regularly visit the Miche website throughout the year, not just during sales, you will often find many of the limited edition products available. Therefore, there's no reason to buy a supposedly limited edition product for Black Friday. Just periodically check the website, and you will likely find what you are seeking and get it faster than during Black Friday.

I look forward to Mielle’s Black Friday Sale every year when everything is $7. I stock up on my staples and it last me until almost next Black Friday. I’ve never got around to trying Miche. It’s unfortunate you had that experience. It’s sad when companies are shortsighted and don’t realize how much further they would get with good customer relations, discounts and even free samples. UA-cam definitely generates sales for companies and they know that. It’s not just hair products. I’ve even bought my day planner 3 yrs in a row bc of a trusted UA-cam reviewer and bc the company gives a discount code every year. A discounted sale is better for them than no sale at all.

@@lemoncat9213 I usually get 2 or 3 gel and 4 of the hair milk. I have really thick hair and that lasts me a really long time, but I don’t exclusively use Mielle. Although their Black Friday sale used to be $5, then $6. It’s been going up every year.
Sadly, Miche deep conditioners have started leaving a waxy residue on my hair so I won’t be being Miche either and I have ALMOST EVERY SINGLE DEEP CONDITIONER THEY SOLD LAST YEAR 😳😳
I noticed the waxy coating you’re speaking of the first time I tried Miche’s conditioners, leave-in, and hair butter. This was when they first released. I actually loved the shampoo, but when I repurchased it, it left an oily residue on my strands. Miche gets a lot to hype, but imo the products just don’t do it for me.

Wow, just wow Miche! My first time buying them was their curl box. Let me just say I’m glad I got 5 full size products for $25 cuz they didn’t impress me AT ALL!!!
You got a good deal. I picked up that Curbox as well. I love the shampoo, leave in and deep conditioners. The twist cream could use a bit more hold, but the moisture is good. What didn't you like about the products?
I’m not buying anything from Miche because their stuff is way too expensive for the size of the product. Period. And there are other less expensive products that perform just as well or better for less. Nope! I think not.
@@NaturalRaeRae I used all of the products for a wash day. The shampoo was ok, I liked the moisturizing conditioner ok. The styler gave pretty good definition but the twist out only lasted for 2 days! My hair was super dry and trying to simply moisturize on day 3 was a bust and I had to wash again. 😒 I’m accustomed to shampooing every 6-7 days, not every 3!

Ok I came back & finally finished the video! Miche is so good but I do not blame you for not jumping thru hoops for a 10% discount… I “MAY” pick up the limited edition DCs if they bring them back, but their prices are a little high for my taste.. I’m glad u mentioned the Kurltini bc if the have a sale, I’m definitely gonna get that to try it out!
Miche is good, so it is disappointing that I won't be using them once my stash is gone. I really liked their shampoo and conditioners. The Kurl-Tini is good, but is you want a crunch, you won't get it with the Kurl-Tini. You will get a soft, defined wash and go with medium hold. But it doesn't flake with anything I've tried it with so far.

Hey SunRaes. I’m stocked for Black Friday. I brought most of my hair products from Sarenzo Beauty. From NLS, I purchased her Strawberry Styling Smoothie. From Soultanicals, I ordered 2 staple products from her $5 sale. I would like to try Miche but it’s not fully catching my eye. I’m going for Curls&Potions. As for body care, I purchased from Ancient Cosmetics. I agree with Rae, I’m only purchasing products that are my faves and the discounts are 40% or better.

I love some NLS and the only thing I want from Soultanicals is the Fro'zen gel and it is always out of stock. If I can get that, then I will, but other than that, I'm good. I did make a first time order from Natures Little Secret, but passed on the gel (I’m not big on gels). I got some backups from Kinky Tresses. I want to see if Oyin Handmade does a sale I want a backup of hair dew and looking at 3 items from Pattern. Sarenzo has been on my list for years. @@lemoncat9213 I usually get 2 or 3 gel and 4 of the hair milk. I have really thick hair and that lasts me a really long time, but I don’t exclusively use Mielle. Although their Black Friday sale used to be $5, then $6. It’s been going up every year.
Sadly, Miche deep conditioners have started leaving a waxy residue on my hair so I won’t be being Miche either and I have ALMOST EVERY SINGLE DEEP CONDITIONER THEY SOLD LAST YEAR 😳😳

I noticed the waxy coating you’re speaking of the first time I tried Miche’s conditioners, leave-in, and hair butter. This was when they first released. I actually loved the shampoo, but when I repurchased it, it left an oily residue on my strands. Miche gets a lot to hype, but imo the products just don’t do it for me.

Hey, sis! I am definitely not asking anyone to not purchase from them, I'm just sharing why I will no longer feature them on my channel. You got a good deal. I picked up that Curbox as well. I love the shampoo, leave in and deep conditioners. The twist cream could use a bit more hold, but the moisture is good. What didn't you like about the products?
I’m not buying anything from Miche because their stuff is way too expensive for the size of the product. Period. And there are other less expensive products that perform just as well or better for less. Nope! I think not.
@@NaturalRaeRae I used all of the products for a wash day. The shampoo was ok, I liked the moisturizing conditioner ok. The styler gave pretty good definition but the twist out only lasted for 2 days! My hair was super dry and trying to simply moisturize on day 3 was a bust and I had to wash again. 😒 I’m accustomed to shampooing every 6-7 days, not every 3!

Miche is good, so it is disappointing that I won't be using them once my stash is gone. I really liked their shampoo and conditioners. The Kurl-Tini is good, but is you want a crunch, you won't get it with the Kurl-Tini. You will get a soft, defined wash and go with medium hold. But it doesn't flake with anything I've tried it with so far.

From Soultanicals, I ordered 2 staple products from her $5 sale. I would like to try Miche but it’s not fully catching my eye. I’m going for Curls&Potions. As for body care, I purchased from Ancient Cosmetics.

I have been waiting for this video and I have to say you and I are almost in the same mind set when it comes to BlackFriday. I’m not really looking to buy to much, Just staples. I did make a first time order from Natures Little Secret, but passed on the gel (I’m not big on gels). I got some backups from Kinky Tresses. I want to see if Oyin Handmade does a sale I want a backup of hair dew and looking at 3 items from Pattern. Sarenzo has been on my list for years. I might just pull the trigger on that, but it’s still up in the air. I have so much to work throw and I’m over having a big stash. I just want to get to a place where I only have staples. However, I would suggest, if you haven't already, that you get a professional opinion on whether her hair is actually low porosity and not just covered in build up. Also, whether she has protein overload. Sometimes issues can present as something else. Because I am not a professional and I don't know anything about your daughter's hair, I don't feel comfortable giving any recommendations. Please consult a professional.
