May I ask you to make a video that would help advertisers combine two platforms into one advertising strategy - Google and Instagram. Maybe it's possible to "surround the buyer on all sides"?
A tip for you guys: keep a close eye on how many conversion you got before and after you increased troas - you might drop in growth by aiming to high. This needs to be balanced and ofc align with ur goals (growth/revenue). I have seen people going crazy of high roas numbers, but miss out how it can affect the growth and also revenue in the long run

You can try prioritizing clicks if you're setting up a fresh campaign in order to show data. Conversion needs at least 30 conversions within 30 days to show data.
Don't use maximise clicks unless 1) Your keywords SHOULD be a phrase or exact match 2)Less competition otherwise it might get expensive with irrelevant traffic 3)High intent keywords must be in your campaign to control results

People that engage deeper pages for expensive professional services seem to be the only conversion type that indicates interest. Since watching your video I have set up two page view conversions for contact and project pages, and of course the elusive contact form. Do you think this will be enough conversion data for bidding to work? We get like 20 page views for projects a week versus 150 for the home page.

It can be, but I don't necessarily think that you collect more data optimizing for clicks as opposed to conversions. You want Google to learn how to get you conversions more than anything else.

Yes. You should be able to calculate "whats the average incoming call worth to me" and then calculate how much you are willing to spend on getting incoming calls. It's hard but with some historical data, lets say last 6 months, you can evaluate price per action.

Would google start prioritising branded terms even further to reach that target roas? (assuming you don't want to remove branded terms from the pmax campaign)
I do think there is a risk with that. You'll be able to check to see if that's happening so good idea to keep an eye on it. I think the other positives may outweigh that risk though.
Hi. Thanks for sharing wonderful videos. I’m working in a very niche industry, the number of conversations are quite small. Because of compliance concerns I only can run search ads. When I set the campaigns to max conversion I get zero impressions, any suggestions for a situation like this?
Thanks a lot. In your scenario you probably need to optimize for clicks. At least for the timebeing. It's not normally what I'd recommend but I think is important in your situation.

i've never undersood why google wants us to set a tartget ROAS....i mean, literally everyone wants the MAXIMUM return for their money. Why let us have a setting that alters our outcome?

If you can't track the conversions then yes. But you can optimize for enquiries most likely so we would optimize for that conversion.

That’s determined by the quality of your ad.
You should probably start with $30 a day though. My advice.
That should be enough to learn what works and what doesn’t without making you too broke lol.

I'd start with search and then move to PMAX once you have a bit more experience :)
