Andrew Johns was the most outstanding player I have ever seen in watching 50 years of rugby league. Obviously there have been great players like Wally, Lockyer & co who we greatly admire, but Joey had that special magic.

We are talking about a guy who still holds the record for most tries in a season, THIRTY EIGHT, a feat never even remotely approached by anyone else, ever, yet his season was at the most only a third as many games as players since 1967 have enjoyed. Brown is beyond doubt the greatest player pre-Churchill and probably better than Clive. Surely Brown is among the top ten all time at the very least. As a centre he was much better than Mal Meninga was and that is saying something, as a tryscorer and points scorer he is un-matched. I say Brown is an Immortal and do not give a rat's ass what any "expert" says about it. DAVE BROWN FOR IMMORTAL.
