Hey wats the full set up on this car....my boss has a mach 1 auto and is surprised how slow it is he owned a 5 speed mach 1 and numerous coyotes (2012-2019) i told him its because its a stock auto i feel this have a weird factory tune on shift points and pressure especially compared to gm autos of the same era.....but then i thought about this 2v and was telling him how it puts down...so just curious wat "woke" it up the most
@@mikewozawski1634 converter is what woke it up the most. Tell him to get a 3500 stall converter from FTI Performance. The tune helped with the shifts alot aswell. Honestly every single thing done to this car are like pieces to a puzzle. Also the factory mid pipe is very restrictive. Bolt on wise thats where he will see the most power gains. Which isnt much lol
I got 1 5/8 BBK long tubes I want to install they just waiting for me in the box still I’m running short headers to pypes o/r x-pipes and slp lm1 I hope it comes out nice and loud‼️‼️
Which BBK x pipe are you using? I have the split version on my stock manifolds but it looks like it can be usable for the pacesetter LT’s I just got. Maybe a 3” to 2.5” reducer to late the two? Or are you using a long tube specific x pipe?
Hey was wondering if this is a off-road or catted x , I’ve been trying to find a off-road shorty x pipe to go with the bbk long tubes I just installed and literally cannot find one anywhere. Anyone know of another brand that will fit the bbks or of any shorty off-road x or h pipe I can find anywhere? Would appreciate any help I can get.
After some searching. It has been discontinued. You can always get the catted x pipe version and cut the cats out. Or just have a reputable exhaust shop make you a custom x pipe. My bbk was custom made to fit my Pacesetter headers.
Hate to spend the 500 just to cut the cats out. As we speak I just found a off-road bbk shorty x pipe an hour away from me for 120. I’ve been looking for almost a year now on market place and Craigslist, just hit the jackpot!
@@boostthings9068 I don't know bro but all I know is I have a bone stock 1988 LX 5.0 in mint condition and I'm leaving it that way no motor swaps nothing like that just a nice slow Cruiser
About 20 years later and still one of the best sounding cars there is.
New exhaust setup.

Love it!
Hell yes bro. Roudy asf
Nice!
Much better. What exhaust did you have before?
Did the pace setter long tubes fit with the catted or non catted bbk o/r xpipe?
It's not a direct bolt on. I had to fabricate the bbk to fit the Pacesetters.
Ok i hear you

It's the bbk that connects to the stock manifolds It was custom made to fit with the pacesetters.
@@SGTRacing perfect, that’s the same one I have!
Any power gains or power loses switching to this new setup??
Power gains are barely noticeable on this car with any motor mod
Power shifted a bit higher in the rpm. If it did get any gains maybe 1 or 2 horses at best.

This is a bbk off road x. Let me see if I can do some digging to find you one. Due to all emissions crap that's why it's becoming hard to come by.

Now we are talking loud. Why so quiet before?
How hard was the install
Installed a new engine/k member. Did the long tubes while I was at it. Pretty easy that way 🤣

No need for that then it wouldn't be reliable anymore
