If say it requires proficiency, meaning that a person needs to know how to play the guitar and sing at a level of musicianship most casual players don't reach, but anyone with formal education or a few years of solid practice should be able to play this.

this came up randomly, but i have to say that IMO, this is one of the deepest and coolest chord progressions ever created. I love this song so much. I'm a sucker for walking notes and the switch to major is so awesome. Plus it is very standard tuning friendly and it has basically been a lifelong warmup tune on acoustic for me ( my own arrangement )

Cheers Alex, it looks more complicated than it is but there are no complex chord shapes to worry about so with a bit of effort I think most people could learn it. The trickiest part is singing while you play it :)

I know it seems that way now but I've been playing for less than a year and have just learnt how to play it, so don't give up!
