  • Two weeks ago i made a video in the deep railway cutting near Hugglescote in Leicestershire, but because of the weather, i had to cut it short.
So today, me and my trusty and very "Noseh" Pug, Nev, went and filmed, what i couldn't do last time.
This explore was very difficult in places as well! So there was plenty of Indiana jonesin going on today! If you enjoyed this video, please like, subscribe and share! Cheers, Steve...

Thank you very much! Yes very interesting that bridge! I don't no why those two arches have been converted? Maybe summat to do with the conveyer belt that was added to transport coal from the open cast at ibstock...

Well done Steve. I remember that area when it wasn’t overgrown! I took a series of publicity photos for a local band around the bridge in the early 1970s and those rooms were there then.

I’m not on Facebook Steve, those negs are buried somewhere in a file with a few thousand others but I think I still have them! I recently had to digitise a colour slide of the station site from the same era if I can get it to you on Facebook somehow I will do. I’m Chairman and archivist for the Coalville Heritage Society so if you need an old photo anytime let me know, we have about 4,000 of the area in the archive. All we would need is a credit from you on the video.

Nice video. Never knew it existed lol. Amazing what you find on foot. Out of interest is there anything between London road and Bardon Road under that bridge. Between traffic lights and the small island. There used to be railway lines there and used to go around ner long lane
