I used to like her music and think she's beautiful but I just wish she didn't say such ignorant things... Everyone is different and insinuating that people are only holding themselves back ("racism shouldn't be used as a crutch"), is very counterproductive to black people and our struggle and nothing more than "victim-blaming" which is also the same thing she did when blaming women for how men treat them (it is MEN who are responsible for their choices in how they treat women, no matter WHAT women do or _don't_ do)... White Supremacists would say the same thing about black people "making excuses" and they do so, all the time. They lack empathy towards African Americans and generalize whole groups of people without knowing them on an individual level or their individual life experiences and struggles. Just because you or your parents, have overcome, doesn't mean that _everyone_ can and I think having a little compassion, empathy and understanding, can go a long way.

Yeah, what she doesn't realize is... yeah people refocus to selling drugs and eventually being in the systematic process set up for minorities that 20% make it out. I get it being positive and just finding a new hustle but bitch dumb. Being in an interracial relationship for years, racism is still strong in some people. And people will do things to you to show you.

Screw the haters, band wagon riders and people whose minds are so simple that unless they're coerced, they'll always go with the current social trend! Beyonce is wacko and all that she's contributed to her community (& we all should be aware as to which one that is), are plenty of mis guided young men and women alike, who just want to feed into a system that only recognizes black accomplishment, if you can display your assets and exploit the inner circle of your life.
