I’m 67 now. And started playing seriously at 50. At 17years old. Who loves rock and roll. And could not believe that these country boys could blow my mind with their southern blues. And hear I am leaning from you. Just learning for youand The Band. Is such a freaking pleasure and still mind blowing guitar riffs. My soul will be forever blessed learning Lynard Skynard. The play every blues rock riff made. And the fingering. Is just precious. I still WANTTO shed a tear because they are gone. Thank you. God bless you man. And thank for opening the door and windows to their music. Still miss them.

Hey Scott, Just wanted to thank you for the lesson. I'm a old rocker that grew up with the music you now play with Artie. What a gift to be schooled by the Skynerd family that just keeps growing and giving. These songs are the sound track to my life, Thanks Again

Loved your show in Tennessee earlier last year, although there was some drunk in the seat behind mine and I could not hear ya'll very well. This guy was singing at the top of his lungs, every word to every song, smelled like a bucket of day-old sour mash, and I missed a lot of what I came to hear. So I will have to see ya'll again in Ft Payne AL in March, 24. You were great (I think).

As a Martial Artist. Learning advice Katas. This is like learning a advance Kata. Has all the basics of steps. But the steps are really advanced. You know them. But now you have to put them all together in the melody of the music. Can really be confusing and that old habit may get in YOYR way. Of the new habit. Amazing riffs.

Scott you need to do That Smell.. I use to know the song on guitar inside and out all the guitar parts all 3 but would love to watch you play it. I 8 tracked myself playing it on cassette not digital. No digital back then That Smell 20 Years ago. I did everything other than the drums. But would be great to see you play it. You are awesome! Wish you were my neighbor.

Your a wicked good player dude. As a drummer I had no idea how complex the guitar parts on there songs were. Like most fantastic players they make it sound easy.
Started playing guitar bought me a new MIM Strat. Quite a transition from a acoustic guitar. Difficult fingering don't have to press half as hard quite a curve...lol..
Love your videos keep 'em up. Subbed.

I wonder if you are still doing requests, and if so , can you show me how to play "The Last Rebel" if it won't get you in trouble with the other Skynyrd folks.lol I'm from Southaven,MS, and I grew up listening to Skynyrd right and has always been my favorite band through the years, to me most of the songs sounds timeless and always relevant and synonymous with the southern lifestyle. I'm 58 so pretty close to your same age. I never got around to playing guitar till about 2 years ago but I did get taught the basics of reading music from my Mom and Father who played a little bluegrass and took me to a lot of festivals in my teens before I went in the us navy back in 1982-89.I'm in it hard now to learn.

You can have that guitar tuned up in standard tuning.
When I play that song, it starts with a D then the F and the C
I’m tuned up straight up standard tuning that’s I come up with
I’m 61 years old now and I learned this song when I was 15 years old
I’m in a band and it harmonizes with with the song and everybody else
