  • This farmhouse decor is perfect for the Fourth of July although I'll be keeping mine up all year. I really like the inner star as it adds a little dimension to it. I wanted to make a more simple build for beginner wood workers. You can easily customize yours by using different wood or making different sizes.
Actual size: 15 inches wide, 14 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide
    Tools:
Jig saw or bandsaw - amzn.to/2CHC0Pb
Circular saw or miter saw - amzn.to/2YyS26t
    Drill - amzn.to/2YC0AJL
    Sanding block - amzn.to/3dIA2es
    Materials:
Wood - Type and size are up to you. I used an old piece of fir 4 inches wide, 2 1/4 inches thick and 4 ft long
    Rope - homedepot.sjv.io/NjJxK
    Glue brush - amzn.to/2LsSSdK
    Wood glue - amzn.to/3cwqWRZ
    Sandpaper - amzn.to/2BEJ270
    Stain - amzn.to/2LE2uCk
    Clear coat - homedepot.sjv....
I am not an expert, just a regular woodworker, sharing my experiences with you.
Please note that if you purchase from the links I provided above I will receive a small commission from the company for suggesting them. This will not cost you anything but helps me to provide good contact to my viewers. Thank you in advance if you purchase.

Just guessing but I’d bet that when you were taking math classes in high school you weren’t dreaming about using it for projects like this, really pretty and well done 👍

49 more to make, then you can put together one big bodacious wooden flag.
Was waiting for some kind of blooper at the end.

Nice work but I have a question. When your making your 72 degree angle (18 degree angle) for your star and using the piece of paper. Are you using your center line you made for reference and the side cut (low side of the 45 degree angle) and just meeting them to find your point? I wanted to try this out and make 3 different size ones for the wall I think the girlfriend would love them on the wall.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’m doing. Sorry it was a little hard to explain and I didn’t do a great job of it 🤦‍♀️

@@AroundtheHouse you did a great job on making it just hard to see the lines on the video.

would be nice just to have a template that you can glue on a piece of wood x5 and cut out the parts without all that math , lol thanks

Love the end results but you explanation about how to achieve the appropriate anglers is extremely poor.

Sorry. You want a 72 degree angle. I just used a piece of paper to achieve this.

No it wasn't - she was extremely clear about a 72 Degree angle
