Oh yeah I caught a lot more afterwards too. I made two videos from this day. I also caught a bunch of walleye, pike and a perch. That video I uploaded but it is scheduled in winter time. I am spreading the videos out a bit, tossing some summer content out of season lol.
Baked is okay, fried is better. Same flavour but crispier texture when fried.

no doubt I agree with you on keeping some of these for dinner. especially when they are considered invasive in your area. my parents and I keep them all the time (within legal limit of course). Iso no apologies needed. way to get onto those smallies. I would have loved to help you out on catching them. Now as for the cooking, first time seeing it done cajun style. very interesting.

I tried cooking bass Cajun style years ago and just stuck with it because I loved it. This meat was top notch though, no fishy flavor, so it would go well with any seasoning you'd like. I apologize to most fish I take home, sorry not sorry lol. Some anglers are so offended that you'd keep one of their precious sport fish, as if there isn't 1,000,000 more of them in each lake. I find keeping a giant lake trout or muskie offensive because they are rare and take 30 years or more to reach trophy size. Bass however are like tye rabbits in Australia, they have bred themselves to starvation and they reproduce way too fast!

Awesome. Bass was on Fire that day! Great video Joe. You inspired me HAHA. My next video is going to be a walleye catch and cook on the River bank. Tested out the outdoor cooking equipment in my last video and it worked great. Went out the day after and caught a nice walleye to eat. Looking forward to getting it on YT! Excited for more fall fishing vids from up north!

Small Mouth Bass are delicious. I also did a catch and cook and a follower unfollow me haha. Both of your dishes looks yummy 👍

Haha yeah I can see people unfollowing because you ate their sacred bass. Bass meat is excellent to eat and here, like I said, they were introduced and took over all our lakes. They are destroying the native fish populations. So keeping some is helping to keep them in balance. I know some old timers that hate the bass, they told me they toss them up on shore when they are fishing. They want them all gone. I wouldn't do that but if I can eat them I will! Cheers

I haven’t tried Cajun but beer batter is good and I don’t know why you are apologizing for eating them.

Beer batter is amazing! I just did a beer batter shore lunch on an overnight camping trip. That video is scheduled for winter. Something for people to watch while being sad that it's winter lol.
