my halloween costume this year will be cardinal copia. my boyfriend will also be a nameless ghoul. we are both obsessed with ghost. i loved copia ever since i first discovered him, but the fact that prequelle is about the beginnings of the papa bloodline makes it even cooler that it is told by someone who is not one of the sons.
i am really curious which prequelle song will get a video next.

I actually came across Ghost because Danny from Game Grumps wore a bunch of Ghost t-shirts and I eventually looked them up on Spotify. The first song I heard was Square Hammer and I instantly fell in love. I think my favourites are still Square Hammer, He Is, Pro Memoria, and Circe, though when doing makeup Spoksonnat is also up there. I have tickets to see them here in Toronto in December and I'm SO excited!

Love this vid! I was referred to Ghost by a friend in 2016 and the first song I heard was Cirice and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love. I went through all their albums after that. I don't have favorites, it's too hard to pick. Going to see them Nov. 13th and dressing up as a Sister of Sin. I can't wait!

oooo nice job on the make up! I have heard of Ghost since the peak of their popularity, but I never started listening to their music until recently ... like about a couple months ago lol. I haven't heard a lot of their stuff yet, but so far I like what I've heard from the band.

Ghost is my FAVORITE band and I'm going to see them in Sweden on their European tour! Loved this look!! :) My favorite songs are Faith, Cirice, Dance Macabre, He Is and Meloria and Year Zero, but really it's hard to pin down, they have so many great songs and big diversity.

I had seen photos of Papa and heard they were metal and assumed they wouldn't be my thing. Then someone shared links and when I listened I was like OH MY GOD it's like 70s rock and even some prog in places - I find them absolutely delightful!
My husband got me into Ghost. We saw them live during their Popestar tour as a opener for Iron Maiden. Mummy Dust and Square Hammer live is amazing (which is also my favorites) I've also never seen a band stop a show for a fan (he unfortunately passed away) and then to make up for it is doing a tribute show for the fans at that venue. I'll always have a soft spot for Ghost. (Gonna wear my Ghost shirt tonight for Halloween at work)

I found Ghost through Cirice as well, my mother showed me the video and I was like whoa. I was so excited when prequelle came out, every song is amazing. My favorites from other albums are He Is, Monstrance Clock, Ghuleh, and Secular Haze
This is the first I've heard of the band. I'm going to check them out, sounds like my kind of people. Impressive transformation into a floating spooky face. That looks so fun to do.

WOW! ReeRee, i know i have said this before, but you are SO talented!! It's exciting to see all these things you can do! And i found Ghost through you, actually, LOL, and i tried NOT to love them because i was so afraid they were actually satanic(i do love them though!)....but after really listening, and watching and paying attention, i can see it is a PERFORMANCE made to make people think, and to hearken back to bands from the 70's and 80's that had that same style and freaked people out so much. i love their sound, but i also agree, i loved Papa, and am not so fond of the new face now.

I had a great start with the band with the discovery of the song Year Zero, I just instantly fell in love. My favorite song is definitely Cirice, the first time I saw them live I literally cried during the entire song lol the main reason why Papa 3 is my favorite, plus its hard to not love the spooky goofy Papa. I saw them live actually when they were touring with Iron Maiden in 2017 and while Iron Maiden was awesome, don't go to an outdoor venue of theirs, because almost immediately when they got on stage, there was an instant haze of fucking weed smoke and it was unbearable from the crowd lol

I’m going to see Ghost in November, and haven’t been able to figure out what to do for makeup. Also, it’s nice to see other Ghost fans out there. I’ve seen a lot of Ghost hate from goths.

Two of my best friends got me into Ghost 😭 I believe the first song they tried introducing me to was Year Zero and I didn’t like it at first because it was different from anything I heard at the time
I then decided to give Ghost a fair chance on my own time and it was also Square Hammer and Ritual that sold me on them and I’ve been sold on them ever since
As for my favorite song(?) It constantly changes because there’s not a single song of Ghost’s that I don’t like 🖤 love them

What are your thoughts on Prequelle? I really love the album personally (Dance Macabre and Witch Image are some of my faves from it) but I know other really big fans of Ghost who don’t like it
For me (huge fan), the album had to grow on me. But after a couple of listens, I was 100% hooked and it is actually my second favorite album of theirs. I feel like the 'fans' who don't like the album are just there for the heavy sound and don't really appreciate what Ghost is trying to do with this album. Yet Ghost is so much more than heavy cathedral music, they play a huge range of sounds and vibes, and even though Prequelle might seem lighter, it's just as good as the other albums. That's my opinion anyway. The only people I've met who didn't like the album, are not huge fans but mostly there because they think satanism is edgy.. That's my experience anyway.
@@wolfsbane1991 I had that reaction when they released Rats, I wasn't sure about it but after a few listens I found myself singing along. Then when the album came out I really liked the whole thing pretty quickly! My brother introduced me to Ghost, he's really the main person of reference in big fans don't like it (he wants more stuff that sounds like Pinnacle), he really doesn't like the new direction of sound. However I really like it and it feels like a natural progression for the band to go this way, there's definitely still a similarity in it in some ways (at least to me) but different is good, if a band stays in one place with one sound, both the band and fans will surely get bored.
Prequelle is the first album of theirs that I loved the whole way through on the first listen. When the album was over, I panicked a bit because I seriously thought there was more and I didn't want it to end. I listened to it 4 times in a row the day it was released. My husband says he doesn't really like it. He loves Rats, but he goes 'meh' at everything else, I don't know if he secretly likes it, and says he hates it to try to annoy me. He denied he was a fan for a while... then I caught him watching the video for Cirice, and he started saying things about other songs that I was sure he hadn't heard. I might have to play Prequelle a bit more and louder!
I started listening to Ghost to get through a bad breakup, and now I am so much happier and free now that I have "fallen" from the terrible relationship. I am very much a Christian but for once I could say, I can relate to Satan. Cirice was the first song I listened to and I just fell in love with them after that.

I absolutely LOVE Ghost! I had ignored them for years, I even have the keyring that came with a metal hammer magazine years and years ago, but I never bothered to listen to them. I thought they were just going to be another one of those crap bands who wear masks. Oh hell was I wrong. I decided to actually bother to listen to them in February this year, the first song I heard was Absolution, damn well got me hooked straight away and that is basically all I have been listening to since. I definitely use that keyring now! I also made a dolls head keyring and painted her like Papa 2. I was going to go to the Download festival in Melborne, but having to come from NZ, and on my crappy wages, there is no way I can afford it. Still annoyed that I missed them when they came here with Iron Maiden, now extra pissed I can't go to Australia to see them either.
The first Ghost song I heard was He Is. I had seen what they looked like and thought it was awesome, but never had a listen to them because I foolishly assumed they wouldn't be my taste. I don't like heavy black metal screaming sounds and I thought that was what they sounded like. What an idiot! I heard He Is and my jaw dropped! It was so not what I was expecting, I fell in love, deeper after hearing Cirice. That song made me feel and made my heart ache happily. I can't name a song I don't like. So good. Although, the first time I heard Ghuleh/Zombie Queen (which is a definite favourite) I heard it with a Kazoo!!

I've still only ever heard Square Hammer. I can't decide whether I love it, or if I'm not that fond of it. I may give their other songs a listen though. Who knows! 🖤🦇

Ghost question, what are the differebce between the papas and who is the lead singer? I've heard two songs by them and I love them but I know nothing about Ghost.
The lead singer is Tobias forge. He plays the role of all Papa's 1 2 and 3. He is also known as cardinal copia more currently. He wears masks to give the effect of a real pope singing with his army of nameless ghouls.
My favourite GHOST songs are mummy dust and Metallica's enter sandman.

Have you ever tried listen ING to funeral doom metal??? It's like if Emilie Autumn tried making a musical piece but in metal version and it sounds depressing but beautiful and it's like ethereal sounding post catastrophic events of the world and the angels and demons and anything still alive all fighting itself... It's as if my lost Lenore by tristania became atmospheric+depressing+extreme metal+the world completely ended.
