Matt you are the reason why I started doing my UA-cam channel and why I fell in love with arcade games you changed my life for the better thank you so much for creating your videos and your channel and having the most contagious and amazing energy you put out there thank you for being Arcade Matt You are incredible my friend.
Those games are so nostalgic for me! I remember there was also a not-really-pinball game that would give baseball cards. I didn't care at *all* about baseball cards. But my family would go to an arcade at the mall once a week and there was a claw machine with baseball cards that my dad would play and I would play the not-a-pinball game with the baseball cards, and we would have SO many by the end of every night. (Also ticket games and coin-pusher games that gave tickets) We ended up with a huge baseball card collection. I think we saved them for my little brother for when he got old enough to enjoy them. (He's 8.5 years younger than me.) We also would save our tickets for the HUGE prizes on the top shelf. I think we got a game console that way.
Slugfest is the name of the game that gives out baseball cards. It is considered a Pitch & Bat baseball game. It uses the same boards and dot matrix display that Williams used in pinball machines from that same era (1991 - 1995).
This is the best video you’ve done in a while, and I thought you were doing amazing before! There’s something about token action games that make you so addicted to it even when watching.
This may be an unorthodox suggestion but have you ever thought about doing a challenge on who could win the LEAST amount of tickets? And maybe you guys could use the wheel to pick the games you play. I think it would be interesting and very funny if either of you get a jackpot when you weren't trying to
Matt, have you thought about offering to buy the Claim Jumper machine from the owner? That would be a crown jewel of your home collection, and you could play it whenever you wanted to feel a wee bit nostalgic 🙂 It would be a sign of everything coming full circle, the machine that inspired your love for arcades
Matt I’m 33. Been watching forever, even told you my stories about the arcade I use to manage. My next game for you to find is the big shot token flip game. I have perfect marks to line up to hit the jackpot. The coin barely fits in that tiny tube, so satisfying!!!
Awesome video, Matt. My only suggestion is to maybe show the prize section of the arcade. The mom and pop arcade prize sections are always so satisfying to look at. Love u, man !!!❤
They had this game at Disney quest in Chicago when it first opened. When it first opened it was pay one price for unlimited games. I played this game straight for 2 hours.
The game that spurred it for me was that little arctic/snow themed wheel game where you put the coin in and shoots the coin at a spinning wheel and you have to get it through the slot. I understand the excitement! I found that game at a local arcade recently and about had the same reaction!
There’s an arcade near me that still has some token-action arcade games. Unfortunately they’re slowly being replaced by modern, non-token-action games. The token-action games are much more satisfying than most modern games.
You should try to purchase the old games for your own. Do you talk to the owners? It is a great thing that babies don't happen as often as you claim to have them. You would have a zillion kids!😂
Oh! Interesting! I have seen these minecart parts a lot when I was at my search for random arcade game parts, for my future sculpture project. Now I know what they go to
I'm certain I'm older than Matt, and though I spent my fair share of time in arcades as a kid, I've never seen nor heard of either of these games outside of this UA-cam channel.
Matt, I got an idea I want to see you buy one of those small fold up chairs that’s totally portable and small that you could bring to the arcades and just pop up and sit down and be able to play one of your favorite games without having a stand, especially for the games that are really short. Some really good deals on Temu or Amazon.
“Changing batteries is the strategy” sounds like an awesome t-shirt idea 😬 So awesome that you were able to hit the mark on the game that started it all for you! 👏🏽
I haven't even seen that game in so long. 25 years... seems too recent. Ironically, I was playing at a 'new' retro arcade near me that has almost nothing but the classics. And it was some game that I never seen before. Melt Down or something like that. (Ladder prize mechanic. Time-able coin drop into slots that have variable speeds.) I just had to think 'The spirit of Matt is with me' as I climbed that ladder towards 2000 tickets. (Which is pretty good. Other ticket games are Smokin' Token and such. As in hard core to give up anything.) Fun times for a twenty.
Matt you need to do a claw machine challenge but Adam does it and see how many prizes he can win and you do the recording, and let him pick the place where he want to go to do the claw machine challenge.
Hey Matt. Question!!! What was the biggest jackpot you have ever won?…also I would like to say me and my dad always watch you. You bring us joy after a bad day. Edit: thank you everyone for the 3 likes!! 😄😁
The timing I remember is different from what you said, (but it doesn’t work for car 1, because the locomotive is longer than the other cars)… Drop the coin when the gap between the 2 cars in front of the one you’re going for is lined up with where the coin falls. For example, if you want to get car 2, drop when the gap between the locomotive & car 1 is lined up. Or, if you want to go for car 7, drop when the gap between cars 5 & 6 is lined up.
Where is this arcade located? Why is it the first time you been there? And if you go again, definitely tour all the other games they have. I love coin operated redemption games
I used to love that truck game but I always felt like I was getting ripped off lol. Besides the times when the wrong truck activates for the wrong trigger, it just feels like I getting 2 tickets for 5 dollars
I found Power roll in an arcade in Devon UK today Matt and kept winning the jackpot if 1000 tickets using your strike point tips! I got it 20 times in a row and only cost me £20! Had a small crowd watching me which was fun! 😁
I remember the first coin game I played similar to this, I had it figured out to get the jackpot pretty frequently. Cannot remember the name but it was Artic/Ice theme. Drop a coin down the ramp into the middle slot. If you got it the ramp would drop lower to an even narrower slot to get the jackpot of 1k tickets. I'm sure someone that follows Arcade Matt knows the name.
The game that got me into redemption games was a game called Dino rally. I loved that game. They’re kinda rare but I will get one someday to Add to my arcade and pinball collection
Favorite coin action game was Aftershock! Coin drops in and slides down a vibrating table. Get it in certain holes/slots for tickets. We hit the skyscraper in the center so often (120 tickets) that they nerfed it to 50!!
Yes. The bushing is likely worn out or the bracket is bent. This will cause the coins to miss the trucks and land on the playfield, as the slope is too low.
I totally think you should ask if you could purchase that game for your collection since that’s where it all started for you. That would be so nostalgic to have you have it! ❤

I was truly rooting for you to make the coin in, I’m glad to see that you did Matt!
Arcade Matt grew up playing the hardest games ever, and is now a great arcade gamer, makes sense!! Thanks for the vid!
Hey Matt, we are all nostalgic with you watching. It is great to see what ignited your Arcade Flames. And I want one of those games at home to play!!!
Awesome that you found THE game you played 25 yrs ago! Those vintage games were built to last, but arcade games must change with the times.
Matt, have you thought about offering to buy the Claim Jumper machine from the owner? That would be a crown jewel of your home collection, and you could play it whenever you wanted to feel a wee bit nostalgic 🙂

Awesome video matt❤
Can we address how Matt hasn’t aged since like 2010??? I remember watching you as a kid and you haven’t aged at all dude!

My wife doesn’t like UA-cam much… but when Arcade Matt is on she locks in!
We love your videos! Have a blessed day
This video brought back so many memories for me. I used to play these both at my local chuck-e-cheese as a kid

Matt, you founded those arcade games for over 25 years! So this is an classic arcade games with a jackpot!
awesome stuff man. never seen the game, i would play it for hourssssssssssss
Love Arcade Adam ❤ 😍 he’s gotta be early 20s?
I remember playing that game probably about 25 years ago at Seven Springs in their arcade back in the day! Oh the nostalgia!
Nice video Arcade Matt!
Big Haul was my favorite coin game for sure.
They had this game at Disney quest in Chicago when it first opened. When it first opened it was pay one price for unlimited games. I played this game straight for 2 hours.
Hey Matt I really enjoyed the video with that train ticket game. That dumpster trailer looked really tough to get.
Splendid Video and loving these old school skill games and 100% Agree that We need more games like these to come back!! Nice prizes

Smokin’ Token! I loved that game when I was a kid!
The train game that you’re playing Matt, the engine #5 name is James The Red Engine
I remember playing this game but mine had a reskin of Thomas so the carts was Annie and carbell and the train was thomas
Wait how long has it been since you've played them lol love it Matt
Great video Matt

Arcade matt is amazing
A while ago I won a jackpot on the Disney Crossy Road
That's the hardest game in the arcade. No wonder you're so good!!
⬇️🤙✌️
The truck game is was still at the chuck-e-cheese in my hometown the last I knew. Evansville has some nice arcades and some arcade bars that are fun.
Now we need some OG matt3756 claw goodness
5:00 hey, I'm glad you are still updating us on that project!
My game was at Chuck E Cheese Chicagoland area. It was coin action baseball. I'd die if I saw that one again. Even digitally.
Hi matt😅😅great video ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The coins i would dump in this game! When tilt got rid of this one it was a sad day indeed.
Other than your Shabang shirt and hoodie you should make one that says “I’m here for the smackeroonies”
10:48 Was that Ripper Roo from Crash Bandicoot laughing?
It’s nice to see some old games played, and I agree that new ones can be just like them!
Loved this games when I was a kid, but my favorite was Wheel'm in! Great memories. We want them back!

Matt do you have a vendetta against Hersheypark? They've had Claim Jumper for ages.
Yes, he has a vendetta with the park, too much chocolate candy in that park. He has to keep his big noodles in shape lol.
Matt was back in my city!!

Wow thats a throwback, I've seen that game maybe 3-4 times in my life and not since I was a kid, probably never won it lol
Never seen this game near me but i love these retro token arcades
This game is awesome, I have a memory of it being broken at a Dave n Buster's where it was spewing out tickets from every side, it was so cool lol
Those are really cool skill games. Those actually take a lot of skill to hit them good you found the game that got the Arcade Matt beginning.
Oh wow... I actually totally forgot about that game. Token Action games are one of thee best machines made!
I haven't even seen that game in so long. 25 years... seems too recent.

Fun & Games Rewind Boardman Ohio. They are always getting the best classic old school games. Favorite little arcade ever.
Don't ever bring this guy to a casino 😂
That's the thing with those token-action games: not every coin falls consistently.

Add to my arcade and pinball collection
I love how you hit both of them just after a battery change 😂 clearly a good tactic
Make that train game but add a coin pusher mechanic to it. It'll be the next best thing.
Favorite coin action game was Aftershock! Coin drops in and slides down a vibrating table. Get it in certain holes/slots for tickets. We hit the skyscraper in the center so often (120 tickets) that they nerfed it to 50!!
My cousins and I could kill Big Haul and Claim Jumper. Seeing you play gave me the feels
Is that James from Thomas in the game?
Good memories! GoodVibes
I would love to play these games even though they are so frustrating.
I remember watching my brother hitting big haul when we were kids and getting a lava lamp with the tickets
I love those ticket eaters!
When I play that big Hall game I always put the quarter in going from right to left especially on that corner truck
Not gonna lie I used to live in between Warren and Youngstown and never heard of this arcade
Would love to own a Big Haul machine!
Remember when you got the big haul from tropical fun zone
The Big Haul right side is getting caught and just stopping.
Yes. The bushing is likely worn out or the bracket is bent. This will cause the coins to miss the trucks and land on the playfield, as the slope is too low.
Where is this place?
Them coins have that extra oomf
I totally think you should ask if you could purchase that game for your collection since that’s where it all started for you. That would be so nostalgic to have you have it! ❤
@Arcade Matt in 2 decades the weight of the coins probably changed.
My arcade had it several years ago
By the time they had physical tickets
You just know if they modernized these games they would make it have alternating speeds so you couldn't time it.
Sounds like you need to buy this machine when the owner wants to get rid of it!
