DARKROOM PHOTOGRAPHY PROCESS - BURNING SKYS - SILVER GELATIN PRINT
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 лис 2017
- Normally I use my wire tools or hands and fingers to Dodge and Burn in the Dark Room, so I thought this time I'd try out using a cut out matt instead to burn the sky into this print I am making.
I'd like to give much more thumbs up than one. This one and the rest of your videos deserve for it. Fantastic job!
+tomaszx888 Thanks Tomaszx888. Kind
Perfect!!! Thank You ❤
This is the stuff that inspires me! Thank you for sharing!❤️
Thank you Mary. Lots more videos on my channel 🙂
Thanks for making these videos. They inspire me to get a bit more creative in my darkroom.
Fagrid Thanks for your kind words :)
The videos on this channel have been so helpful in refreshing my memory as my last proper printing happened over 6 years ago! Thanks so much! I'd be curious to see how you filed the negative holder to include the edges of the negative on a print
+Jahan Saber I put the mask in a clamp on a work bench and carefully filed about 1mm from the inside using a metalwork file.
nice work dude
thanks for sharing
Thank you so much! I have been a professional Digital Photographer for over 12 years. I burnt out from the commercial side and now I want to slow down and enjoy photography more in an art form (create). I just pick up tons of 35mm cameras and darkroom equipment under $300. Which was worth over $2,000. Yes, I scored. LOL
Sharing these type of information on your channel will help encourage others to get into film photography. Thank you for this!!
Thanks David. Nice find! That's why I set the channel up. To help others and encourage others as I know it's a mission to learn! Cheers.
Awesome!! The results look so much better than digital & lightroom!!
Awesome. I tend to struggle with burning in skies, due to the damned halo effect. Especially with long exposure times.
Bartuul yeah it's tricky. I don't mind a little Halo. Google "Brunelli the animals" halo on steroids and so cool.
Very good work boss !!!!
+Gerardo Dalchiele Lueiro Thanks Gerardo.
love this channel!!
+Poppaneedsanap Thanks !
It is a good idea to make masking tools out of thick, black cardboard. Photographic papers let quite a lot light pass through. Otherwise pretty informative!
Great tutorial, thank you! I've been a photographer for a good while but only just getting into darkroom printing. Would you mind telling us what sort of easel you're using in this video? It looks like something quite simple with a fixed border which is what I'm looking for...
Yes, absolutely, just a cheap 2 bladed easel.
That small white area remaining could be spotted.
How do you get your prints so flat? Are you using rc paper? Great videos btw, keep up the good work!
Turbo Bus thanks. Yes RC paper. :)
Alright, thanks for the reply!
