Loved seeing all that old stuff. Can't believe there's so much still in there being on a main road.I would have to agree the house was abandoned in the 80s too. Either way awesome video!!!
Good work JMASS, I do believe that is a dope black and white Television. On a sad, but funnier note, my laundry room almost looks as bad as that house!
I live less than 40 miles from here on the other end of the county ,not surprised that there is an abandoned house there ,but always like watching videos of them so I subscribed
side like note ,I grew up on the other end too and I was in a girls group home for awhile next to Otis in Blandford Mass as a teenager in the early 90's
Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ you are absolutely right not walking in those rooms, it won't be long before that entire house is in the cellar. Thanks for another great video and be careful out there Jason ✌️🇺🇲
Nice walkthrough J-Man - I was really surprised to see an intact TV and toilet, usually those things are destroyed by vandals. I think that chimney may have been used for a wood stove or something - it looked like there was an inlet to connect one. Also noted there wasn't any graffiti either. Definitely curious about its history! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much for tuning in as always! You’re right, usually at abandoned homes, everything is destroyed and vandalized-this one was surprisingly intact, and in pretty solid condition despite its age!
I agree, that’s exactly what I was thinking! It was likely owned by an elderly person up until the 1980s, who had a collection of antiques he purchased over the years.
@j-mass I work with the elderly I did work in Massachusetts up until a few years ago and I've been in houses with these appliances still in work order! Those from the silent generation rarely ever thew anything away they just keep fixing it!
One 90+yro gentleman I took care of I was told he grew up in the house he lived in when I saw the place all I could think of was his mother was the last to decorate....I did later find I was right
Went to overnight summer camp in this town for two seasons. Way back in 1972- 1973. I think I remember this house on one of our outings, but honestly I can’t recall. The video gave me some strange feelings, in a good way or not , I can’t tell! Some spooky shit, and thanks for another great episode 😯
Me too! Loved seeing the wall paper left behind! Cool find! The Health book you found from 1949 was only 25 cents! The chimney was used in the kitchen as a coal or wood stove. You can see the circular opening on the upper wall for the vent pipe
Oh wow, 25 cents! That’s wild! That was such a cool find, one of the oldest dated books I’ve discovered so far! And interesting tidbit about the chimney, thanks!
“Fire place” or furnace is more than likely in the basement. The house I grew up in (in MA, nonetheless) was built around the same time this abandon house was and converted over to an oil furnace in the 1920s which was quite common to do.
That makes sense! I wasn’t able to get down into the basement, just because of how structurally unstable the stairs were, so I never actually got to see if the furnace was down there-but that makes perfect sense to me!
Sad how some people refuse to leave things the way they were found. Instead, they trash and destroy stuff and will take what they want. I enjoy watching videos of abandoned buildings. Please keep doing what your doing. 🙂
Pretty amazing explore. Small but it has a lot of stuff. The refrigerator is pretty cool. It runs on propane and uses something called ammonia absorption technology. There is a market for vintage examples. I often wonder about places like this. It’s in rough shape but some of the stuff inside is worth money. My guess is abandoned in the 80s. That Sharp TV is 70s/80s vintage and there isn’t even an old computer in the place. Definitely a fun explore. Be careful.
So many amazing vintage items and antiques inside this place, it was truly a treasure trove of old goodies to explore! Very cool information about the Sharp TV too, thanks!
The portable black and white tv shown, is the same make and model as the one I bought for my parents in 1978. To get better reception, my dad put a piece of tin foil at the very tip of the antenna. My mom being the wise guy she was, would tell my dad to hold the antenna so the reception would be better so once he took a picture of his hand holding the antenna and taped it to it. That was the last time she said anything about it. 😂
Watching this now!! Never heard of Otis, MA. 124 years of this house still standing is nuts. The inside looks so fucked up but pretty interesting nonetheless!
124 years isn't that uncommon. The 3 decker apartment I had in main south Worcester was built just after the Civil War in the 1870s. Anyway, it had lots of immaculate stained glass on the front stairs and somehow functional gasoliers as the last remodel was in the mid 1950s. Built to last.
I went to stone middle school because they were rebuilding the middle school in Bourne during that time. Some of us went to stone middle school and I think the other one across the way was Lyle middle school or something. EDIT: that was Otis Air Force base sorry I’m gonna leave the comment anyway
in middleton mass, there is a building thats made of concrete. its next to another building with the name tom soyer root beer, please check it out u will find it. very creepy. ive never heard of anybody going inside
Damn. That wasn't a hoarder house, that was just trashed. I felt like I could smell the odor of the place even before you said it reeked of mildew. 🤢 Unfortunately for me, I eat my dinner while watching your videos. 🤮 That was rough.
Yikes! Yeah, it was a pretty disgusting house if I'm being honest... lots of cool finds and discoveries inside, but the place reeked of stale mildew and mold. It's definitely been abandoned for quite some time.
Dude that fridge was dope! I looked into a little and that company stopped making fridges in 1956, so safe to say that puppy is pretty freakin old
Yessir, 1926 to 1956 was the length of their product line's run! Crazy to think that this refrigerator was likely purchased during that timeframe!
Definitely the news paper are much newer than anything else in that house.
I'm thinking it was abandoned in the 80s but someone older owned it.
@@j-massI'm pretty sure you mentioned that in the video so his Google search was unnecessary but it's all good. ✌️. 😂😂😂🎉 Much love from Waltham MA
Loved seeing all that old stuff. Can't believe there's so much still in there being on a main road.I would have to agree the house was abandoned in the 80s too. Either way awesome video!!!
I know right? This place was practically untouched! Thanks so much for watching!
Good work JMASS, I do believe that is a dope black and white Television. On a sad, but funnier note, my laundry room almost looks as bad as that house!
LOL 😂 maybe it’s time for some very early spring cleaning?
@j-mass I should, but instead I've been building a VR 4K pinball machine. Joys of single life at 50 years old.
Another great Tuesday upload. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much man, I appreciate that! 🙌
Oh I love this type of content. Most especially old asylums. Glad YT recommended this!
Thank you! 🙌

Thank you for watching man! I absolutely agree-it’s only a matter of time until that place completely collapses in on itself!
Nice walkthrough J-Man - I was really surprised to see an intact TV and toilet, usually those things are destroyed by vandals. It was probably and elderly person that owned it because the only thing newer than 1970 is the news papers. Older furnaces needed a chimney
I agree, that’s exactly what I was thinking! It was likely owned by an elderly person up until the 1980s, who had a collection of antiques he purchased over the years.

Wow, thanks for sharing! I could see that being the case for this very house as well!

Thank you so much! This house definitely gave me some interesting vibes as well-almost like delving into the time capsule of a forlorn location!

That fireplace is the right size for a wood stove. That hole in the chimney was for the smoke.
Sad how some people refuse to leave things the way they were found. Instead, they trash and destroy stuff and will take what they want. I enjoy watching videos of abandoned buildings. Please keep doing what your doing. 🙂
Thank you! I agree, I cannot stand people who trash abandoned locations. I always try to treat them with the utmost care and respect.
That amazing there’s so much stuff left so sad 😭
I know right? Makes me wonder what happened to the owners to just leave all that behind…

wow that is an old refrigerator, great find!
I know right? I love finding old antiques like that-I never knew about Servel until I discovered this!

great video. I'm from the berkshires/ North adams
Come to the backwoods of Haverhill for some good ones bud.
Watching this now!! Never heard of Otis, MA. 124 years of this house still standing is nuts. The inside looks so fucked up but pretty interesting nonetheless!
Yeah Otis is a pretty small town in the Berkshires! And this place had so many antiques, even if it was a bit cluttered inside!

Oh wow! Here in New England, we’re privileged to have so many historic homes like that in all of our towns!
I went to stone middle school because they were rebuilding the middle school in Bourne during that time. Some of us went to stone middle school and I think the other one across the way was Lyle middle school or something.

Do you ski or snowboard? Otis Ridge is such an awesome little ski area!
Sadly I don’t… but I’d love to try it, it looks like so much fun! I’ll note down Otis Ridge if I ever get into it, thanks!
Great find. I live in The Berkshires.
Love your vids! Would love to explore with you, looks like a lot of fun…I’m here in Mass…
Thank you so much, I appreciate that! Massachusetts represent! 🙌
There’s an abandoned house in Wakefield ma you should check out
I live in Chester, Ma... Right on rt.20...
I live in Massachusetts and this is the first time I’m hearing about this town
I don’t blame you! It’s a very small town in the Berkshires, which is a pretty rural region of the state.
Looks like the house has been abandoned long before my time which is the late 80's!
That’s exactly what I was thinking, too!
in middleton mass, there is a building thats made of concrete. its next to another building with the name tom soyer root beer, please check it out u will find it. very creepy. ive never heard of anybody going inside
Sounds fascinating, I will absolutely have to check that out sometime soon! Thanks!
Wow what a mess
It was pretty messy in there, but surprisingly no vandalism or graffiti!
@@j-mass that's good wow
In Boston, worth $500,000!
It may be older. I’m not sure if they deeded things prior to 1900
That is definitely a possibility too!
Do you explore solo?
Most of the time, yes, I do! I do explore with other people occasionally, but I tend to prefer going solo!
The reason there is no fireplace, is they used wood stoves
