@jakethecooldude Actually "Oculus Ex Inferni" means "Eye From Hell". And the Divine Wings of Tragedy reference to that album actually refers to the song of the same name from that album, as it is also about Paradise Lost.
I think "Divus Pinnus Ex Tragoedia" is "Divine Wings of Tragedy", AKA their famous 3rd album. Divus sounds like divine, Tragoedia sounds like tragedy, not to mention the end sounds like the slow guitar riff after the intro of the song, DWoT.
@net34a This should be a good year for prog. Symphony X is doing their album and a tour, and the tour is with Nevermore too Romeo and Loomis on the same night can you imagine? Plus then Wolverine is releasing a new album. Stephan Forte is due to release Shadows Compenium, and then Adagio is supposed to have an album out this year (fingers crossed it's more in the style of Underworld). All that needs to happen is an Anthriel tour and it'll be perfect. Also if Portnoy would rejoin DT...

I'm going to start my 2nd year of Latin study in about a month. Divus Pennae ex Tragoedia is a mistranslation of Divine Wings of Tragedy. "Divus" should be "divae" because it's an adjective that otherwise isn't modifying anything because it disagrees with "pennae" in number, case, and gender. "Ex" should be removed entirely because it means "from," not "of." I'm not sure if "tragoedia" should be "tragoediae" or not. Basically, I think it should be Divae Pennae Tragoedia. Might be wrong though.

it annoys me when ppl compare bands as it is. its worse when ppl compare bands that ARENT EVEN WITHIN THE SAME STYLE! same genre, maybe. but not the same style. System of a Down being compare with Symphony X? people please.
Symphony x is a very ignored band i dont why... is impossible to compare that shit of soad to this awesome band. The problem is that the people likes to eat shit as they listen that shit of soad and ignore this incredible band. But symphony is in the studio now... they released a second part of the divine wings of tragedy... the next album is going to be the second part of the rediscovery of the new mitology suite dont u think? can u imagine a second part?

What is this stuff about SOAD? Did someone ever say they were in the same league? Of course they aren't in the same league Symphony X is phenomenal they the composition, the technique everything. SOAD just plain sucks. No comparison.
