Stevie Ray Vaughans marvelous instrumental rendition of this classic Jimi Hendrix tune was released on his 1991 posthumous album "The Sky Is Crying".
Vaughan's interpretation of the song won the 1993 Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
The original version is tuned down a halfstep to Eb-Ab-Db-Gb. So if you want to play along to the original version you have to tune down your bass.
In this video I transposed the song to Em, so you can play along with regular tuning.
Don't forget to swing the 16th notes when you play along.

awesome song and awesome bassline. For me it is confusing to play the 8th notes straight and the 16th notes in a swing feel. Personally I would have written this in doubletime what also would make this 2/4 bar unnecessary since it would be a 4/4
still find it hard to read, even the next day, it is getting better, though. I know I won't get a heart for this. :-)
