Glad to hear the shakeup in their lineup hasn't hurt their sound. Love these guys.
Think about what you just said...
Norma Jean and The Chariot are the only two bands still out there that share this sound... the reason they sound similar is because the sound we all love goes back to Bless The Martyr, which Scogin said Corey Brandan was one of his main influences back then.
I have yet to be disappointed by Norma Jean. Thanks.
every new album NORMA JEAN is better and more brutal than the previous one..yes!!!
You stated an honest opinion, don't know why that's making people cry so dam hard, wow.
Got Wrongdoers in the mail today... NOT DISAPPOINTED AT ALL!!!
Norma Jean=best band of all time
ive never thought norma jean and the chariot souned the same, i agree with you
Outstanding track - I hope there's a lot of this quality on Wrongdoers ... and this heavy.
S tier, all day!!
You need to bring that aggression to Brazil!
Haha right? Have you ever seen them live? They're a treat. :D
norma jean back in form. today is a good day. wasn't a huge fan of the two previous albums (they were still good, just preferred the first 3) but this sounds like a step back into the 'norma jean likes to fuck things up' alley. love it.
Welcome back, Norma Jean :)
Who cares who this sounds like. The point is, it sounds awesome.
Sweet Jesus, the boys are back. This is the Norma Jean that I knew, that I love, and that I am so happy to see back.
I can't get enough of that break down. It's the heaviest fucking thing. I'll pre bundle this baby.
Cant wait for this been a fan since they were luti kriss before they changed to Norma jean
they're over 9000!!!!!!!!
And now they're bsck to there roots!
Oh yes, they're back.
yes... yes... NJ does it again
Shit, this is one of Norma Jean's best tunes i've heard O.o
Summer slaughter Dallas Texas house of blues...its goin down son
It brokes my left leg.
This is amazing, can't express it on words.
It's about time!
Norma jean!!!!!
WOW. This is the Norma Jean I've been missing.
This is what Norma Jean should have always sounded like. Yes, their previous albums have been great, but Norma Jean was meant to be heavy...not melodic hardcore. So happy about this release.
Ohhh now we're just throwing Campbell's Hypothetical Soup all over each other.
Love this song.
...I'd love some lyrics too.
Rock N Roll has such a terrible name, who is to blame?
Perching birds drug by a string in the air, stitched together with careless intention.
Cleaner than the dagger that hollowed it out.
Masked and forgotten or no face at all.
It's got something or nothing to say.
Yeah don't we all?
A trance and a trust fund stitched at the same time and sold to the hogs.
All eyes on you. Whatever it takes the bottom line is the only one that you'll cross.
Keep selling what they want to hear, arrogant and insincere.
You've got something to say, but what's the pay? A million before you and more in line.
I've seen it a thousand times.
Built to die and dying.
Built to last and lasting.
Go along to get along.
I will not be defiled by the kings' meat.
The noise ain't noise anymore, who's to blame?
You and I.
NORMA'S BACK EVERYBODY!!!! so much better than their other recent shit. glad to see theyre goin back to their old ways!
Audio Gold! One masterpiece after another for the ALMIGHTY NORMA JEAN!
heaviest song wow
finally Norma Jean doing Norma Jean!
I want more of these grove breakdowns!!
ALL THE HEAVIES
I'm totally getting a Redeemer vibe here. Can't freaking wait!
My only hope is that while touring recently they've picked up some more intensity like they once had. People sure do love some chaos.
Intense!!! Looking forward to the new album, after the awesome Meridional.
Yes! This is their sound that I love. This with their insane live performance will be great.
Having some big line up changes and still getting better, thanks Norma Jean. Thanks.
Well, Josh Scogin was the singer of Norma Jean on their first album (and at Norma Jean's first stage when they were called Luti-Kriss).
I'm glad they found their identity. Solid listen front to back.
Love this!
My bad I thought this was Dillinger (I get these guys confused sometimes) These guys put on a great show and love them.
Three more fucking days... I am beyond excited!!!!!!!
Is it ironic that this reminds me so much of The Chariot?
Sounds just like every time I die
The first minute of this song was awesome, very thrash influenced!
I got chills!
LOVE IT.
Love this band!
this is incredible
Banging!
LIKE A BOSS.
yeah it does!
Rockin.
what a tasty jam. I'd say get me some peanut butter, but this track is nuts!
Awesome !!!
And if Norma Jean and the Chariot opened for Converge, I wouldn't complain. But yes, agree 100%. I personally love every single thing Converge has done.
this is a rule of thumb for me. even when ordering food
Ssssiiiicccckkkkk!
Wrongdoers & Meridional are easily their best albums I love how they have developed as a band, dont get me wrong the other albums are awesome but this is pure SAVAGE!
exelente! saludos desde chile!
hell yeah!
GOD DAMMIT NORMA JEAN IS AWESOME!
I agree!
Hence your name haha. But I agree, I am glad you included Redeemer in your preferred albums... So underated.
Sick tune! Come to the Netherlands already haha
ohhh I bet the album will be amazing
come to Austria !
So stoked. If they wanna go hard.. well I'm ready to go hard. I love what they did with the last album. I want to see some more experimentation, if its art, then just keep going, don't be stale, keep fighting. Win!
its like redeemer album with a better production! sounds killer!
redeemer had better production man :c more detailed and less demo-like. but i still love the mix on this record too!
fuckkk its 06-07 all over again and im totally ok with that
Because they're badass :)
Sounds a lot more like ETID than The Chariot... but you know who it sounds most like!? THE ALMIGHTY NORAM JEAN!!!
Hey man nice album picture! xD And yeah Norma Jean still got it!
Yes
The beginning of this actually reminded me a lot of letlive.
norma jean wrote everything converge is trying to be and that almost 15 years ago :)
Cool :D Hellz yeah, it's about the time !!
Reminds me of 'Oh God, the Aftermath". Love it!
Lets get something clear here... The Chariot got their style from Norma Jean but then again The Chariot are really sloppy sounding unlike Norma they nail it perfect. This is the sound they were missing. I'm glad they are back with the sound they started out with :)
THEY ARE FUCKING BACK!
I likey
México come again please... God Bless You!!
I like it. Kinda like O god, but it sounds a lot more varied, and Corey's voice has definitely improved.
What a delicious comment.
Grooooove*
damn just saw it on alt press site funny video!!! just making fun of party life dude nothing unsettling... jeeeeeze lol also glad to see goose on drums. MISS FEAR BEFOREEE
It's only normal that they have a similar sound though. If I'm not mistaken, Norma Jean started with Josh Scogin (vox of The Chariot) back in the days before he left. So there is definitely some similarities just because Scogin still kept that chaotic song structure when he left Norma Jean and created The Chariot.
The song is about Anti-Mother. Read the wikipedia page about the album, where they explained what the anti mother is.
oh shizzzzzz!!!!
Yes it tis :-)
I don't wanna alarm ya'll. But I think that image of the setlist on that video is a picture I took.....
This is a comeback of old Norma Jean. But i still prefer their melodic hardcore sounds. Not very bad though. Much louder and much noise. still good.
Very nice...very nice indeed \m/ \m/
YESSSSS! My favourite heavy band return heavier and faster! Still different but exactly the same! Norma Jean do it every time!
Even O' God had a few cleans on it (Liarsenic).
