Our May and October trips were just like yours gambling wise. I don't mind losing as we don't pay too fly to Vegas or for rooms but when machines take $100 at ~$3 a press in 5 minutes it sucks.

I swear, Oct seems to be a tough gambling trip for most! We were there just after you guys and our first night got crushed on Fremont. We moved to strip for the next 2 nights and crawled our way back a little bit. But in June, we almost doubled our bankroll. So maybe we all just blame it on Oct! 😂 Thanks for bringing us along and can’t wait to see how your Zorkfest trip goes! Also, thanks for the podcast to keep me entertained on my walks! 😀

From Amarillo. My husband and I love the Cosmo. We’ve stayed there for past 10 years. The cocktail hour and great. STK is the best. Been so many times the bartenders at the bars and pool recognize us. 😀 Hopefully, we’ll run into each other some day.
Yay Texas! Cosmo is still our fave even though there are some noticeable changes with the conversion to MGM. You guys know some of the bartenders??? That’s amazing!! As often as we go I am sure we’ll bump into each other in the future! Cheers, guys! 🥂

Catching up after just returning from our 5th trip and the slots were absolutely brutal for us too. Stayed at the Cosmo for 2 nights and we both agreed that service has gone downhill since the MGM takeover. Crispy mimosas for the win though! 😁👍
Ah loved the video! We split all our meals, except steak. We can each eat a 20 oz ribeye. We'll be there in 3 weeks. Vegas gambling has not been good this year. Hopefully our November trip will be better too. Good luck on your next trip!
Did you guys notice alot of machines off or out of service while you were there? Sooooo many while I was there, also tito/bill breaker machines out of order, so annoying haha Until next time, cheers!
Yeah, we did see more of the “out of order” machines. It is frustrating. Definitely some changes going on. But it’s hard to not love the Cosmo still, ya know? 😆 Cheers Crystal!
I’m in Vegas now. Staying at Venetian. I’ve never seen you guys in Vegas but I saw Travel Ruby yesterday at the Cosmo. She was going up the escalator and I was going down. I usually do better gambling off strip but then you lose the atmosphere and the comps. It’s a trade off. I’m trying to stay at all the major hotels on the strip at least once. Wynn is next. BTW, is that high limit area at the Cosmo new?

I tried to get a renovated room at the Venetian but they wouldn’t give it to me without a $75 up charge even though I did the Ruby match which is supposed to be a free upgrade. So I took one of the old rooms with a nice view of the “Sphere of Fear”. I’m at Wynn now in a corner suite with awesome views. Will probably try Don’s prime tomorrow at FB. Gotta use up that dining credit.
Glad you won a little bit on the last day! We had a sucky trip too gambling. We can got scam chickened. Ex. at Cosmo: shoveled money into Crazy Chickens at $3.75 bet. Got Jackpot Chicken and got no eggs in the bonus for $2.50 total win 😮💨. We don't bring debit cards so we had to do the ultimate DEGEN walk of shame. Took cab to the bank. 😅. Oh well as the Brits say The drinks were flowing. Better luck next trip.
Sorry the gambling didn't go well. I guess that it's a good thing that it was only three nights. I am glad you had a great time though. I tried Hattie B's for the first time last month, and I couldn't eat it. The tenders had this odd texture that I couldn't handle. Maybe it was a bad batch, but it turned me off from it. 😟 I am already looking forward to your next trip. 😃

You really should have acknowledged the significant reward benefits of MGM with taking over the Cosmo. Those benefits are available at all their properties in the US. Losing at any casino on any trip has nothing to do with who owns it.
Thanks, Barbara. We think it will be exciting for those who have not stayed at the Cosmo to experience it now with MGM taking over. That being said, some of the changes with the merger were noticeable. Historically we’ve always had luck in the morning at the Cosmo. This trip, not so much. We know everything is based on RNG, but it did feel like things were tighter at The Cosmo. Others have mentioned the same. Have you experienced anything differences at the Cosmo since merging with MGM?

I agree, ALL MGM properties slots are horrendous! You’re also correct, since MGM took over the Cosmopolitan, the slot payouts have decreased 1000%!
