Wtf is wrong with you, one is explicitly sexual while the other is something that girls have to struggle with every month from an early age. It’s not gross it’s completely normal and the least guys can do is help us buy NECESSARY ITEMS that you shouldn’t even have to pay for in the first place and not stigmatize periods when it’s something that half of the population deals with or eventually will have to deal with. So do us all a favor and stop being so ignorant or STFU
@@erikablu429You think it was better when periods weren’t “coddled”? Idc about your opinion I’m telling you as a fact that things are better this way, and if guys think it’s so gross and have to cover their ears like a five year old whenever someone talks about periods, that’s an issue that THEY need to work on NOT US, we’re not the weird ones

I love how they also don’t have any shame with showing some women just prefer pads due to them being more comfortable for them. I’ve had my fair share of people shaming me for preferring pads saying it’s “childish”, even though it’s mostly due to personal issues.
Same. I’m in my forties. It’s just the way I’m built. It’s not that I’m putting it in wrong. It’s a structural issue. The cavity in my pelvic bone is too small, so all I can handle is the tampon of a teenager. But my flow is like a biblical deluge (similar to how people describe their endometriosis), so a little teenager tampon isn’t going cut it. I’m currently on the Depo shot awaiting when I get the okay for a hysterectomy.
I have no shame anymore. I’ve been a walking gore movie since I was 9 quite literally. So if anyone tries to shame me now, they’re going to get a very detailed medical reason why they’re not an expert on how my body works (or doesn’t work). I become the queen of TMI with all the gory details.
I personally use pads cuz the idea of putting something up 'there' sounds utterly disgusting and very uncomfortable lol makes me head hurt trying to comprehend why ppl would be okay with doing that day to day, but ofc people can do whatever they want. No shaming from me lol
I didn't even know tampons existed till I started hearing about it on the internet and I still don't get how they use it
I tried tampons and cups but both just felt awful. They don't sit comfy. I've used pads ever since, it's also easy to know when it's time to swap it out for a fresh one. Clean up is not messy and you can wrap it back into it's own wrapper.

The sheer amount of representation in just this small scene is so incredible
This mini series is amazing because of this. They represent everyone, no matter gender, sex, race, age or personality. There was an episode with an old lady and I realized how little they appear in media as people on their own, not necessarily grandmas
Disney only added that trans person because they're easy to edit out. Like the kiss scene on Lightyear
What's the mini series called?
And only one really stands out. Aside from them, the scene is great imo. That's what diversity in movies/shows should be, imo. Characters who happen to be X, not They're X, so how do we design a character around that? This scene was likely the latter, but it mostly feels like the former, which is great.
@@euphoricdespairi agree. I hate when they put representation and make that the characters whole personality. Barbie did it right too. There was a trans actor who played a barbie and they didnt put it in our faces

She told me how to put it on right, finally. But it's sad, I didn't know what periods were until I was eleven and my grandma was talking to me and my sister about how we'd get one.
They are normalised, it's just that it's something you keep private ( not talking a out the eduction part, just in general when you know what peride are) like pooping and peeing. No body care or want to know why and what you are going/doing in the toilet. You don't go and say : "oh ? One second, I need to go take a shit ! " 😅 right ? Then it's the same thing with period : no body care.
@@GolocheSupercabocheMust be easy being blissfully unaware of how society is afraid of teaching about periods.
I've known people who got it without knowing what it was because their parents were embarrassed to explain, and would rather let them think they were bleeding out. I've never been taught at school about period-related illnesses. I've never been taught what tampons are or how to insert them (health apparently doesn't include that).
Maybe listen to the experiences of people who do have periods rather than trusting your own superficial and incomplete view of them.
@@yourlocalcoffeeaddict9603I feel that 😅
I was never taught how to use a tampon right as a kid, and one day while I was out and about a tampon became my only option and I was so panicked and confused 🫤
@@GolocheSupercabochethey aren’t the same… but even still we should normalize talking about our poop too. many lives can be saved when we openly talk about our health, people who don’t know what healthy is supposed to look like are more likely to not seek help when their body is showing signs of failure. my best friend thought it was normal to be shitting blood until we talked about our poop together, she went to the hospital and they found some sort of ulcer. she wouldn’t have gotten help and had that taken care with if we didn’t normalize talking about our body waste in our friendship. stop being scared of your body, you don’t have to keep holding old christian ideals
YEEEEEEEEEEEEE THE TRANS FELLLLAAAAAAAA
Ikr YEEEE
I always preferred pads. Tampons just didn’t work as well for me, only time I would wear them is if I was swimming while on my period
As a guy, I'm happy that my mom was open about her period as I grew up so that it was normalized and I learned to be conscious of it. Because of that openness, I never went through the "periods are gross" phase that many kids go through and many grown men can't seem to mature out of.
Oh sorry do you menstruate dawn dish soap or something a bit more sanitary like dead skin cells, old blood and other bacteria?
@@Xzsxztreiii what's your point?

What are you talking about?
@@Xzsxztreiii
Posting weird comments once is fine. Twice is suspicious. I bet I'll find you talking about this elsewhere. Weirdo.
@@Xzsxztreiii Please. Shut the fuck up and do your research. We shed 30,000 dead skin cells per second; a monthly cleaning of the uterine wall shouldn't be the top of your priorities. Plus, PEOPLE FUCKING BLEED. IT'S NORMAL.
The dad and the trans guy made me so happy😭 I'm trans masc and my dad is usually the one who picks up pads for me on his way home from work if I text him during the day saying I need some
Maybe you have periods because you're a woman? I don't how you can identify as something your own entire genetic code goes against.
I was at my younger cousins house one time and that show played and his mom turned it off for some reason
to the people are weirded out by the trans man recommending tampons..it’s just showing representation, and that most trans men do in fact, still have a period. nothing wrong with that.
this
yeah because they’re not dudes. men dont get periods
I love that to signify that he is a trans guy, they didn't put a small pin on his jacket or anything, they said. "He is going to wear the pride flag as a shirt" like lmao
They went a bit overboard but it's the thought that counts
honestly I feel like the whole flag as a shirt was a bit much but like it's still nice
No it's dumb, we don't need this especially on a show for kids🤦♂️
People always find a way to discredit it if it's a small pin even though they say they "don't want it in their faces"
LOL i really like how unignorable they made sure it was
Is no one going to talk about the first women’s voice? She’s Sarah-Nicole Robles the voice of Luz from The Owl House
Wow I didn’t notice that 😂
IKR I was like "wait a minute- I KNOW THAT VOICE!" Lmao
Omg yesss!!! I love that show so much!!!
woah im surprised i didnt notice!!
That's literally all I could see in my head was luz
STOP IM SOBBING THIS IS ADORABLE ✋🏽😭
No ones talking about how rich baymax is those pads are EXPENSIVE and he had like 5 bags 😭😭😭
Kinda sad that something half of the population needs is so expensive now that I think about it-
@@stellaoctangula9898fr, whenever i can i make reusable pads and donate them. if someone has access to just a washing machine it’s a great way to help support menstruating people in need
The dad getting pads for his daughter, amazing. Gotta love the guys who aren't weirded out by periods

As a transgender boy (who still has periods), watching this scene was very heartwarming for me
I can relate :)) in case you didn't see, there's a dude with a trans flag t-shirt on the right and this makes me smile every time
They got the voice accurate too
