Well let me tell you, sooo many girls got their first periods in school and since it used to be so stigmatized (and still is in most places) they didn’t have any pads or tampons available and couldn’t talk to anyone about it. They were told to “suck it up” even when cramps got so bad they could barely walk, which is A LOT more common than you think. Idc about your opinion I’m telling you as a fact that things are better this way, and if guys think it’s so gross and have to cover their ears like a five year old whenever someone talks about periods, that’s an issue that THEY need to work on NOT US, we’re not the weird ones

Same. I’m in my forties. It’s just the way I’m built. It’s not that I’m putting it in wrong. It’s a structural issue. The cavity in my pelvic bone is too small, so all I can handle is the tampon of a teenager. But my flow is like a biblical deluge (similar to how people describe their endometriosis), so a little teenager tampon isn’t going cut it. I’m currently on the Depo shot awaiting when I get the okay for a hysterectomy.
I have no shame anymore. I’ve been a walking gore movie since I was 9 quite literally. So if anyone tries to shame me now, they’re going to get a very detailed medical reason why they’re not an expert on how my body works (or doesn’t work). I become the queen of TMI with all the gory details.
