- Syngonium is an easy to take care plant.Beginners in gardening will love this plant as they can witness rapid growth in a short span of time.I have introduced a few varieties of syngoniums in this video.Care and propagation is easy and this makes it a best choice for apartment balconies.Buy a small plant and try growing it and you will understand it for yourself.
If you find fungi growth use a good fungicide and for mealybugs use neem oil or any other pesticide. Hope you will have fun growing this plant at home.

Hai Sangeetha. As you said syngoniums will take care of themselves to a certain extent. Given good care, their leaves turn bright with bold nerve lines. Very beautiful. Am the proud owner of nine varieties of them
That's great.... As you correctly mentioned any plant will look it's best with good care, but syngonium is a forgiving plant..... It does not mind if you ignore it for a while....or doesn't take good care..... It still survive.....that's what I wanted to emphasize for the aspiring plant lovers.

How often should one water Syngoniums? I have killed two baby plants so far, one by overwatering and the second by under watering I guess...
Check the soil..... If the top layer is dry, water it immediately

Mam .. how to improve the growth of miniature synconium? I have few.. 8months old.. but there is no significant growth when compared to normal variety.. plz reply.. thanks for the video.
Growth of miniature syngonium is comparatively slow and it trails rarely.....so it is ok.....but to make it spread you can pot it in a medium size pot..... Add chemical fertilizers if you wish along with the organic ones.....if you don't know how to make organic fertilizers at home kindly watch my Q and A video on orchids. But do not worry that is how mini syngonium are.....it is normal.
Lovely collection. I hv 2 varieties f syngonium. But one f dem is turning yellow. I am nt able to find out why.
It can be bad lighting or bad medium.....try changing it....keep it in partial light..... don't forget that

If the growth is static, just mix the soil and add some manure. Or may be it is about to vein.

Somehow my syngoniums seem to stunt and die eventually.i m unable to identify the cause
That is rare.... syngoniums hardly die like that. Don't worry get one more cutting and try to multiply the plant wen it grows big.
My syngoniums leaves don't open up may I know the reason?
Check on lighting and water....it needs moderate amount of sunlight.....so less light may be the cause.... Keep it outdoors if your plant is indoors.

Mam, I hv a pink syngonium plant, it's leaves keeps curled and not opening and eventually dries up. What is the reason for this and what should I do to get it cured. Pls reply.
It should be kept in partial sunlight.Reduce sunlight and see

Mine too.. the pink ones leaves do not open up fully.. the leaves curl up and look unhealthy.. but they do grow fast.. Anyway i love the moonshine and mini ones in ur video.. they look so pretty..

Mam what is the difference between syngoniums and caladiums? Because both the variety of plants looks the same so its so difficult to identify them
Leaves are similar.....but plant is very different..... syngonium will vein after some time...... You can see roots on all nodes..... You can cut and propagate. But caladium has to be split and propagated......this is the easy way to differentiate.

I want to grow Syngonium in side my research lab under water. Plz suggest how to maintain.
Syngoniums can be grown in water too.....but it won't become a huge plant like wat you get in soil.....but still it will look good on your desk.....nothing much.....place it in a bright spot.....change water every week. That should take care of it.

Very nice presentation, I am interested in orchid growing expecially paphiopedulum. I started with dendrobium but my interest reached at growing paph alone.

My syngonium has lost its shape plz tell it's solution
What do you mean by shape?? If the plant has overgrown, then you take cuttings from that plant.....take 3 to 4 cuttings and propagate a new plant. Keep it in medium sunlight.....it will grow well.

Yaaaa.....cut it and propagation......cut both the trails and keep it in 2 seperate pots....you will have 3 healthy plants and the mother plant will grow well too.

Hi sangeetha , I am from Kuwait and thanks for the video. I have also created kokedema with the minis, however it needs to grow bushy. I make compost from kitchen waste and use this for my plants will this suffice.

Yes, it is sufficient. Minis take a little longer to grow compared to regular syngoniums....but how do you add vermicompost to kokadema ball after its made? You just can't, right?. So you can use some liquid fertilizers to fertilize it later. If you have any doubt in making organic fertilizers at home you can watch my video Q and A and fertilizer for orchids.....I have spoken about making some organic fertilizers in that video. You can use it for kokodema as well.

Good evening mam.... Thanks for sharing such a good video.... Mam I lost my 3 syngonium plant in the starting of winter season...... When I saw their roots there is root rot...... All plants were placed in open but shaded area..... Pls share your vulnerable advice
Does your pot has good drainage holes.....see that. Wen you pour water, it should drain immediately. Medium should be good.

Syngoniums are easily grown in water
They become invasive when planted in the ground and allowed to grow on tree. But beautiful how they can make a bare trunk entirely green
