I have not watched many Flosstubes during gardening season but yours is always top of my list. So fascinating hearing about the founding of Crescent Colorworks and all the business details. ❤
I love the detail in Sharon's story of how her business took off. Wonderful. Thank you Grace for bringing this FlossTuber for a Day to us. x Loved the 'string' comment !!
Wished I lived closer - you just have the coolest friends and this was another great video. I loved hearing about the evolution of CC - Her parents discussing her decisions at 40 😂., hysterical. I’m just a boring accountant; this string thing sounds so much better. Although, I would have been freaking out over delivering big orders in the beginning. Just super cool to hear about. Thanks!!
What a wonderful sharing of a courageous and exciting success story! I loved that you stayed true to yourself and are leaving a legacy to your daughter!
Wow! What an amazing and fascinating success story! I love Classic Colorworks, and am delighted to know how it came about. Now to start collecting Miss Crescent Crown linens… Grace - thank you so much for bring us all of this wonderful guest stitcher content. It’s the best thing to listen to while stitching.❤ Carol in TX
Hi Carol, Thank you for watching and your kind words! Sharon’s story is amazing and I was so thrilled she would share it with us. Her linen is gorgeous!!!!
Thank you so much for having Sharon on. The story is so interesting of how the floss line came to be. I need to call The Attic and get my hands on some of her linen. ❤ thank you both!
Loved hearing about Sharon’s story. Cracked up about her mom’s comment to talk to her dad about Sharon’s decision on quitting her job to start dyeing “string.” So glad she has decided to dye fabric and that she’s creating a legacy with her daughter.
Thank you Grace a wonderful video with a truly inspirational story, Sharon. I agree with your comment about availability of stitchy stuff in some places, here in New Zealand we have a few places, that do their best, but our choices are limited so Floss tube is a blessing and so enabling. 🎉
What a wonderful episode. So informative. I felt like I was right there with you ladies. I look forward to stitching on the linen. Thank you, Grace, for doing this.
Grace and Sharon, I loved this interview. I had know idea the breadth of your story, Sharon. It sure turned out well for you. It's great that you took a leap of faith. I can't wait to try your linen. I think I will start with cream puff. Grace, thank you for doing these flosstubes. I really enjoy them.
What a fabulous and inspiring story and journey of Sharon’s! What a treat to learn the history of our over-dyed flosses/satins and linens! Thank you soooo much for this flosstube! Tomorrow’s Heirlooms is about an hour south from me and I cannot wait to get there and check out Sharon’s linen!
wow wow wow wow wow!!! I remember years ago the owner of an LNS telling me and a tableful of stitchers "oh we now carry this floss called Crescent Colours, they are made by someone named Sharon and they are wonderful you need to try them." She was right and we did!! I also remember the first time I saw "Chester's Blue" Belle Soie and bought two skeins without any idea what I would use them for just because it's such a beautiful color. Grace, you out-do yourself with every episode. Sharon, you are amazing and I just LOVED finding out your story. I can't wait to try your linen and have made myself a note to call The Attic. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to make this and share it with us.
Flosstube has reopened a world of love for me. I stitched in the 70’s and 80’s and then got busy with family and now a whole new world and I so love it. Wish my sweet mama was still with me to enjoy it
I have heard about these Flosstubers for a Day videos and decided this evening to come over and watch one. Very interesting - what a creative idea! BTW I was also at the Nicola Parkman event with the Queen City Sampler Guild, what a fun and fascinating time that was, right? I wish I had met you there. Maybe at some future event we'll have the chance to meet, Grace.

Loved using all Crescent Colors Floss & now Fabrics, I can't wait to get some from Attic Needlework!!! Fun interview!!! Enjoyed it. (maybe a pale gray fabric).
I love these Grace!Lol, I have about 92 Wips! I’ve been cataloguing my charts in an effort to not duplicate, hahaha! I may try for Autumn Abundance. I haven’t seen any details. Yes, Maggie designed a couple for Blackbird. I know one is daffodils. I have a bunch of Crescent Colours, and the colors are different from Classic. I prefer the Crecent. I love the cup of cocoa color of linen.I love a “not in your face” pink. I leave tomorrow for Spring Green. I’m taking a break from packing. We have a heat index in the 100s! Keep up the friends Flosstubes.
Fantastic flosstube!! So interesting to learn how Crescent Colours got started. Hope to get some of the new linen !!Cheeto dust sounds like a great linen color!!😹
Grace, thanks for introducing Sharon and her wonderful story ❣️❣️ Always loved CC was one of my 1st hand dyed I tried way back…still use & Belle Soie, looking forward to trying the linen looks amazing…. My question for Sharon is your base Zweigart? I’m one of those people in a little town in northwestern MN no LNS especially now that Stitchville closed (5hrs) away next shop is Welcome Stitchery (7hrs). .. so you are 100 percent right about floss tube being a wonderful resource!! Love that you worked with family before & now with your daughter such a phenomenal legacy you have left & a lifetime of memories 🤗♥️
