    Thank you for this series! I fell in love with the papers as soon as I saw them. I gave it a go and got some good results with Amsterdam and Liquitex acrylic inks on a premium copy paper I had at home. Next go is to try some high flows I already have and to get some alum so I can treat and use different types of papers. What I enjoy most about the process is it’s simplicity and the intuitive nature of the designs. So much fun!

      I'm so glad you enjoyed these little lessons Sharon..and you have already given it a shot...how cool! The high flow acrylics and a little alum wash first takes it to the next level i tell ya...I hope you give that a try too!🙌

    Finding your videos made my day. This is my absolute favorite way to marble. Funky and fun Suminagashi hybrid. I’d like to thank you for using Golden acrylic inks. I’ve had them in my cart for a month and ordered them this morning.
    Your videos are fabulous. Love your art, walks in nature, and of course the cats. 😊

    Beautiful prints. I found out about you from Patti Tolley Parish. I have done suminigashi before and find it very meditative. I have only tried with sumi inks (from a kit) but I would like more vibrant prints. I do have some Golden High Flow acrylics so I will definitely have to try those as you’ve shown. I have never used alum so I will have to watch your video on that. I also like your trick to put in the acrylic plate after pulling. Tfs

      Thank you Devon, and nice to "meet" you!🙌 I love Patti...such a supportive and artistic soul. I started out with traditional sumi ink sets too but found the results to soft for my liking. I wanted more variety and brighter results! I think the alum - high flow acrylics seals the deal for me! I hope you get the chance to try it out....and yes, I've found a little acrylic or glass frame is a great studio assistant!😉 p.s....love your channel!😍

      Thank you Bree! I've been a bit swamped but I promise I will get back in there and ask ...next week, I hope. I do know It didn't have a name on the box and i know the owners said they wont be able to reorder it...let me know if you think it would be something you would like to try and i could maybe put a listing up in my etsy shop? Just an idea! In the meantime i will try and find out more!🤗

      I wish I did! The art store where I purchased it is closed for the next two weeks for summer vacation (ahhh Italy 🙃). When they reopen I will try and get more info. Also I was going to suggest you might try a new Teabag paper that was released by JaneLovesDesign - it's on amazon. She developed tea bag paper that is in large sheets and it looks super fun to play with ...especially for this technique! Look up Artist Teabag Paper Mixed Media...I think you should be able to find it!

    I don't have access to both Golden or one4all acrylic colours. Do you have an alternative brand that is widely available internationally or a solution to how to get the same results with normal acrylic paint, but for example using a medium. Thank you so much!

    • @auriabohn
      @auriabohn  Рік тому +1

      Hello! I can understand...they don't often have them in Italy either where I live. but I had a friend bring me some Golden pruducts when she visited. I'm still experimenting to see how i can get just "normal acrylic paint" or an alternative colored ink to float as well as these tow products- and I havent gotten there yet sadly. You might try mixing wiht Ox Gall or a product called PhotoFlo by kodak. Not easy to find here either! But it is worth looking for! Or try purchasing colored suminagashi inks online. I hope this helps!

    Can i use this on fabric

    • @auriabohn
      @auriabohn  11 місяців тому +1

      That's a great question! I think you for sure can but you would need to use a fabric such as cotton gauze or silk and will need a way to fix your inks to the fabric in a more permanent way if you intend to wash it. I have not tried it but it is something I dream about as well!🙌
