The one trick I’ve learned with this method is to get the base surface of your nail as FLAT as possible- like the edges of the nail with the extension should be thicker than the center- then rub the chrome(aurora) powder on,& then apply the iridescent film as flat as u can possibly get it(get the air bubbles out), cure it,& then apply builder gel all over to encapsulate the entire nail,& that’s what will give it shape with an apex. File, topcoat, & done. You can even apply another coat of aurora powder & then apply topcoat, if you’re feeling frisky!
I wish someone like you can make an instructional video. I’ve seen so many English language videos to do these and everyone faces some buckling of the foil
You can try putting a thin layer of transfer foil gel down before you put the paper down. The paper will stick down tight. Then you can put a very thin layer of gel over the top to hold it down. Then you won’t have any buckling which will help with the fitness. Just a suggestion.
Absolutely beautiful! Love, love the blue on top. I wanna try this design and maybe add some little fishes under the blue. Thanks for doing this stunning design. 😍
I’m ages late but i still think this trend is going strong and after tons of research and tests and my final successful attempt here’s what i’ve gathered for anyone interested: 1. There’s no way to get around thickness. The effect is created because the thick layer of gel acts almost as a magnifying glass so they must be a little thick, however, you can definitely make them thin enough to not be uncomfortable as many have said, by laying the foil as flat as possible. 2. I got to adhere my foil completely flush to the nail (which again, helped in making the nails less bulky overall) by cutting little slits around the cuticle area and sidewalls (if needed and depending on the curvature of the nail) and adhering with FOIL GEL GLUE, it was a game changer in laying the foil as flat as possible and prevent it from moving around when encapsulating; sticking the foil with builder’s gel i find is too much trouble. I got to make these for a customer and we both loved the result. I used soft gel press ons and encapsulated with clear soak off gel and while they were a little thicker than regular to get the effect, they kept a nice shape and did not feel bulky at all even when looking down the barrel of the nail, laying the foil flat with foil glue i believe was the key.
I agree, I do the aurora foils on base coat and then clear gel if the client wants a flatter nail, she could have done a base, top coat and the shimmer before any foils to lower the usage
Same.. They look a little bulky. I've tried with the stained glass polygel, turned out better than I thought it would. But I had to see her technique.. there was another video I saw, where the girl cut the foil into 3 strips. And just used base gel to adhere the foils. I tried to recreate that but my base gel was too whack ... 😔
I think they look awesome you solved the problem on how to cork that stuff. I had thought about making those cuts to allow it to lay smooth by the cuticle as well, cool that it work !
Beautiful. This set is amazing, and they didn't look as thick as the others I've watched. I just wonder if putting cling film over the foil before curing would help make the nail a bit thinner? I might try it and see. Thank you for sharing with us. xxx
I love this design! You created an ever more perfect version of the Korean nails I’ve seen. I’m going to give this a try, for sure using your blue tinted gel! That made all the difference!
I use the dip powder system on my nails. I'm going to try one dip powder dip, then glue the foil on with the base coat, the another dip, in the clear dip powder that has a small amount of colored powder added. Then top it off with clear dip before filing.
@@erinbyrnes8917 That's not what they're saying. Tatyana is right handed. So using her non dominant hand to create such a beautiful set is awesome. Get it now?
I think you did a perfect job. It looks like you have jewels on your fingers. This would be cool if you put a different color gel on each nail. I know it won’t still be aqua nails, but it would be cool.
Every time I try to do these on tips they end up so thick! I guess practice makes perfect. However in the videos I watched from Korea they kept the foil perfectly flat, and then filled in the sides where it stuck up with hard gel underneath. So that way the foil was flat on the nail. Then when you went to add the builder gel on top and tried to create a smooth surface it would inevitably be thick. I also saw a video where they applied top coat to a plastic bag, cured it, and then applied powder to that to make a "DIY foil." I've noticed that a lot of Korean nails with intricate designs are thick, and that they don't seem to mind. I think clients with flatter nails would do better with this design. I think another problem that makes this design difficult is how prone it is to having bubbles. You did a beautiful job as always :)
Tatyana those nails breathtaking. 😍 when you take down your nails in this video in which direction is the drill going and what speed? Sorry for asking. And oh hell yeah I would give it a go even though I'm a perfectionist. What builder gel to mix with colours would you recommend?

Hope someone figures out how to make these thinner.
You can .. just don't use too much product and use a bigger marker for the curve..

I like that one bubble that got trapped, it makes it look like a water puddle Frozen in time.

I'm literally drooling when I see the thumbnail. You're soooo amazing!
Lol me too!
The designs are gorgeous! Also your voice and narration are so soothing and asmr-y 💖🥺
too much material for my taste but so pretty! Good job!
I'm used to think nails due to needing it to keep me from scratching skin ulcers, but I think the top layer would be more gel for me.

@@hetissketis they definitely do look too bulky
Waaaaayyyy to much.... Super thick nails doesn't look that aesthetic

I love this design! You created an ever more perfect version of the Korean nails I’ve seen. I’m going to give this a try, for sure using your blue tinted gel! That made all the difference!
I would have liked to see the sides filed down a bit to counteract the thickness but it is pretty!
I am waiting on some powders to arrive to try this. Great idea to roll that foil paper too

Love the effect it made, very pretty. This would def take some practice to make sure it wasn’t thick and bumpy.

Lefties exist too 😆😉
@@erinbyrnes8917 That's not what they're saying. Tatyana is right handed. So using her non dominant hand to create such a beautiful set is awesome. Get it now?
Pretty, I wish there was a polish that did this
That looks amazing!!! I gotta try this myself!!!

This is so stunning! You did a great job with them! 😍💅✨💜😘
So cute!
I wish there was a way to do this without it being bulky, but the illusion is all in the magnifying effect
Loved this look 😍

These are beautiful! 🥰
Wow that's is so cool looking 😍😎
SUPER !!!
Cool design.
Can you use the translucent blue gel on natural nails. Can I do this whole process on natural nails. I love this look.
I love these nails, they make me think of mermaids.
I love your videos l just can't believe how fantastic they look ❤️
I LOVE them!! 😍
Heat up the foil with a blow dryer when it's wrapped around the pen. It'll form better curve for the nail
Omg wow 🤩 my favourite colour
This tickles my heart ❤️
precious. thanks 😍
So amazing!!

Imma definitely do this 😌 😍
Where did you get your cuticle scissors?
Beautiful 💙💙
So pretty
I think maybe I would have liked this design more if the milky gel wasn’t on the bottom. I definitely prefer the clear gel in aurora nails.
That’s how I feel about it too
It’s so pretty I wish I could do it
Gorgeous!
