That is another really awesome looking set. I've got more books than I do LEGO bricks, so some cool bookends like that would fit perfectly in my office.

Great review. I may just pick this one up. As a Lego Train nut….(7 trains) , I think it just needs a coal tender (to hide the battery box) and the beautiful train could be travelling around Polleyville soon.👍🎄🎉😍
Haha. I love your vision! The only concern would be that the whees on the locomotive are not really built for anything other than going in a striaght line. Although, you may be able to come up with a modificaion for that 😁🩷
I've looked at JMBricklayer site but haven't ordered. My understanding is they're better for more experienced hobbyists -- folks used to model kits, fixing little issues that come up, etc (at least per Jang review of their old-timey automobile). I love the design/concept in this model -- how about brick quality, clutch power, stability after build?. At this point Lego and companies that use GoBricks (like FunWhole) are my standard.
They do very well with the little details so that makes sense to me. Definitely esthetically pleasing. Bricks are good but are not Lego or Go Brick Quality. The clutch is tigher than Lego or Go Bricks, specifically for the smaller pieces. Hope that helps to clarify! ☺️
I have this set but haven't built it yet. You can personalised that 50002 plate to put anything on it at time of ordering but I just liked the set number. I've built the Puppet set before and found the bricks to be good quality and printed pieces as well.
The JMB 1x1 round plate on the front of the train being at an angle triggers my OCD. It's a shame they didn't make the wheels fully functional since the way it's made the train can only run on a straight track. It would be cool to be able to take the train off an run it on a layout as well.
Agree about the wheels. A missed opportunity. So sorry about the round 1x1. I started to fix it before shooting the video and then I just didn't want to mess with it and risk something else coming off, lol. Thank you so much for the comments. 🩷🩷
Very steampunk. Glad to see another brand of set. Review is great as always. I don’t think I’m ready to take the plunge on it yet. Couple wrong pieces and bricks that don’t wanna go together well kind of put me off. The design looks well done but just doesn’t appeal to me much. The instruction book looks fine. However, I kind of miss any cat appearances
Agree. I love trying new brands to see what they have to offer. You never know when you will find a winner. I think they are off to a strong start so look forward to see what they offer in the future. More cat apprearances to come. Bella is becoming very comfortable in front of the camera, lol. 🤣😁
Agree with you on a lot of the details on this set - Still think it is more Steampunk than Western. I still have it displayed but no books between yet. Awesome job on the review. JMBricklayer has some interesting sets to build. I am working on my third set from them. 🥰
I have looked at JMB products before but the was never anything I really fancied. Stacey another make you should take a look at is DK Tec Creators. I bought a few sets one of which will be on my channel at some point next year, Mayish I think LOL. But quality is good and price is low so if you like the subject-matter you can't go wrong really. Just thought I'd give you heads up X 👻
This set was "copied". Originally it's a xMork set, I personally have it and it's steampunk in fact. I had two sets from JMB and both were a huge disappointment. Brick quality, stickers, instructions and set stability were pretty bad. Also this isn't the first time they take another brand set and modifiy it. I don't know if they have the license/goodtogo from the OG designers, but personally I won't buy anymore sets branded JMB. Just wanted to share my thoughts and experience, not gonna hate on the set itself that is pretty good (also all prints it's awesome!) and not gonna disrespect JMB. Wanna know from you if you know why they rebrand/recolour/modify other brands' sets. Have a great day!
I went back through our communications with JMB because we did ask lots of questions before working with them. They did state that they have authorization from other manufacturers for global online distribution through partnerships as they help them sell to overseas markets. Not sure if this fully addresses your questions, but wanted to share. 🩷
