Also I know you dont like when people criticize how you do it, but I'm only saying it because I've done hair for 10+ years and only giving my advice to help ya out. Bleach reacts to heat so your root will always bleach fast and dont need to be on as long

I'm 45 and have been doing my own since I was 14. Even when I went to Cosmetology school in 2011, I colored my hair myself. I feel like I know my hair best. The worst that's happened is ending up with a color I didn't like.

I also love to do my own hair. I've had too many problems with salons, so I just learned through research & trial and error (and a fun sister whose hair grows really fast & lets me experiment with cuts & color). Can't wait to see the final result!

Sooo your roots process faster because the heat from your scalp processes it faster, you should always start at the mid shaft of the hair to the ends❤️ I’ve got the same purple and I used their pink in my hair and this video was so so helpful 😭❤️ so thankful for this
Don’t hurt yourself with the bleach girl 😭 Roots lift the fastest because of the heat in your scalp. Try the ends or lower first and go up especially because you’re sensitive!! This is awesome though. I AM SO EXCITED TO SEE WHAT YOU DO

If you ever do venture outside of Arctic Fox, I suggest trying iroiro! It’s vegan and cruelty free as well and has incredible staying power. I still love AF but iroiro is also amazing.
it probably irritates your scalp because you start on your scalp. If youd try bleaching the ends and mid shaft first then go threw and do your roots it may not irritate it as much because it's not on your scalp as long...
Reason its blue underneath is because all the colors you had underneath the purple.
I was gonna say this too, I’ve been dyeing/bleaching my hair since I was 15 and always start with ends and mid before scalp and I have super curly hair so it’s easier that way especially when I have to part into multiple sections.

I love doing my own hair, and I use Arctic Fox, I can't wait to get the new pink frose' color, I use Blonde me, because it lifts 9 lvls, and I have grey hair (I'll be 60 this year) and dark'ish red/brown hair so I need a lot of lift with the least amount of damage, and Blonde me has olyplex already in it

I'm jealous because I have almost black hair and I have to bleach 2-3 times to get that kind of lift 😂 I'll be walking around with coppery color hair at some point for a few weeks because I like to go 2 weeks between bleaching when I'm bleaching. Purple is really easy to take out, though. You're right! That said, your hair is looking good!

I use ( regularly), artic fox , right now purple rain & lunar tides , wide strips of dark green . Love changing my hair , but was 👀 for non- toxic ( animal cruelty free), bleach , so this is very ⏳ly... Good luck with the next exciting color cutie... 🙅💗😜👏💜

Love Arctic Fox Purple Rain is my go to color
35 volume sounds like strong stuff - usually hairdressers advise using 10 vol (3%) or 20 vol (6%) not to damage the hair too much
hairdressers do not use 10 volume with bleach. 10 volume is specifically used to deposit color ONLY. it doesnt cause the hair to lift. 20 volume lifts and deposits. 30+ volume is more aggressive and lifts and does not deposit.
toast tea that’s with color, and if using permanent 10 volume still shifts the natural pigments in the hair. 10 vol with lightener works great depending on the brand, especially for natural blondes or long processes that you’re gonna leave it on for a long time, I’m a stylist and only keep 7 vol, 20 vol and rarely use 30 or 40 vol, like I never use it really, unless using permanent color or highlift color so op is correct!

Purple is made of red and blue so yes......there will be blue left since it's the harder color to get rid of. To counter the blue use orange. The color wheel is your friend. Whatever color you have, use the color opposite it on the color wheel to bring you back to base or neutral.

You should just use a color remover like pulp riot blank canvas or joico color eraser. Lifts the color right out ( of these kinds of colors) without going full on bleach everytime.
The bleach was for my roots so the color would stick and they'd be lightened. The ends weren't really the point of it, just ran it through them because I already had it out
Porcelain well just look up pulp riot blank canvas next time ya gotta lift a color. It saved my hair from all the bleachings and worked great! Haha! It’s technically only supposed to be purchased by professionals, but there’s people selling it online anyway. It’s a powder and ya mix it with just 6 vol. so it’s still a bleach... just barely. 😂 it would even lift my natural root color.
I always let my hair fade/use a color remover. It has saved me from having to bleach my hair for two years. I had My hair was even blue (which faded to a green ofcourse) and using the previous stated methods I was able to go to red with ease. I also do a deep conditioning bi monthly which helps if I'm wanting to fade the color out.

I have blonde hair too which I color purple. I use the dark brown dry shampoo to hide my roots 😉 or dark root cover

I used Bleach, Please and over all I liked it however I did have scabbing , but to be fair the person helping me really worked it into my roots/scalp. I liked that it didn’t burn my eyes. With normal bleach I have to stick my head out of the window every two seconds to breathe. Also I’ve used ritual on its own and to my surprise it faded to a blue silver with purple. You can imagine how confused I was 😂 it looked pretty though

oooooo girl, I can not wait to see what you're doing! I was thinking something teal, but you already mentioned how hard blue based dyes are to removed (they stay forever! lol). So, maybe..dark red? If you're doing straight up ritual. Either way..super excited!
And if you do a dark red, it will cancel out the green. So...perfect!

Mint hair will fade out nicely...but hair needs to be lightened to level 10 or 11. Even a little bit of yellowish or gold tone will make mint turn into seaweed green.

:) I've been bleaching my roots for 10+ years and for the past few years we have been adding Splenda to the bleach before applying it to my scalp and I tell you what girl, it has COMPLETELY stopped the "burning/itching" sensation during that process! PLEASE TRY IT!!!! You can use the Splenda in packets or the liquid. 1 MAYBE 2 packs is by far enough of it for the amount of bleach your using i would think (from what I can tell on your video.) Haha!

@@Vampiislay are u meaning will it lift? virgin hair will always lift the best! but with any hair color you have to lift out the underlying pigment, I'd try a test strand with it!

I'm thinking about trying their new shade frose I think it's called. It's a soft pink color. Since u said dark hair next I was thinking dark blue or black. I think light sky blue would look cool on u. It would match your pretty eyes.
I love artic fox even as a pro though. Some of our fashion colors dont do as great as artic fox. Also btw bleach will drive color in deeper sometimes so a color remover for semi colors is way better for u to do.
Bridgette, yay, 1st. I just died mine, suppose to be red, but I used the brush from my daughters pink, I didn't rinse it(did us bith at the same time)..so now it's magenta. But I like it. Girl, I always do me & my daughters hair and I also, always LOVE your hair❣❣💕
If your hair had any yellow tones in it thats why it turned pink.

I use blue Kalidecolors with 40 volume developer for 45 minutes 🤣 I have medium brown hair but I normally bleach color out.

Girl, I feel your pain with the roots. when I had mine red, it always grew blonde-ish and looked strange, now I'm blonde and it shows much darker. I hate my dirty blonde locks...

I'm looking for a new color brand and haven't tried Arctic Fox. Does it bleed all over your skin when you wash your hair? I recently tried Punky Colour and it bled like crazy and made my skin the same color as the dye. My ride or die Pravana line, Locked In, was discontinued last May and I have struggled to find something like it since.
Edit: I use All Plex from Amazon when bleaching to prevent damage. It works exactly like Olaplex, but it's much cheaper. I highly recommend it when processing hair. I have even added it to box dye.
I’ve done blue, green, pink and black from arctic fox and that black was the only one that bleed so badly it stained my skin, the other colours did stain badly but they do bleed when you wash them because they are semi permanent colours. I love arctic fox and had been using it for four years and did blue and green for two and half years! Would recommend this hair dye brand!

The Pravana bled, but unlike the Punky, it didn't make me and my shower look like a murder had taken place or stain my skin to where I didn't want to go out in public. I'm just trying to find a brand that doesn't make as much of a mess as Punky or Manic Panic. Thanks again!

Purple is red and blue, blue molecules are the biggest so removing them is the hardest

Watching you bleach your hair makes me beyond jealous... literally bleached my hair 4 times with 40 volume and it’s kind of still orangy... the plus... my hair hardly is damaged. I guess Asian hair has its ups and downs.
Asian hair usually requires 40vol at least twice. If I did that to my hair, it would burn it off my scalp!! lol
2shadowcats2 yep it’s sooo annoying, 4 bleaches later it’s still like a level 8... it’s like a 9 or 10 on the scalp area but my ends are not lifting.
