Kia Picanto engine fault

- Clicking sound from the dashboard and flashing engine management light with complete loss of power while driving. Expensive investigation by Kia dealer with no luck. First they thought it was the immobiliser then the ignition coil but both were not the fault. It was then the ECU.
i have the same problem as i was told by my KIA work shop in Nepal.But finally i came to know they were trying to make money from me saying as my ECU is gone and needs replacement. After research and talking to KOREA Kia company i was told ECU issue will never ever happen until we put whole car inside the river.Then i checked my ECU at local motor electrical service and found nothing happened with it.

i have same issue with my car and car doesn't starts for few days and after few days it starts as usual.I am sick of this.Pls advice if you have any solutions.
Same happened to me. I took it to a local mechanic and he reset it for me says its nothing to worry about hasnt came back on for a year

Maybe needs a new battery.
KIA dealer struggled to fix but the guy who bought thought it was ECU. It seemed that he fixed it as it was on sale again for a good price!

Definitely no. This was happening while driving on motorway- car loses power

its either two things happend to me today 1st in the bonnet ther r fuses that control stater and ignition 2 nd get your car key a new battery it does the trick

Hi Mohammad As-Salaam-Alaikum to you brother just want to say Kia,s are awful cars, my housemate has a 4 year old picanto and always has issues , after only 30 thousand miles the head gasket blew up and after getting that replaced, 5ooo miles later the car now struggles to start in cold weather, i would never buy one of these cars, always buy Japanese or German thats my advice my friend.
