TOTY BABY!!!
I thought Tide was haha
I reckon osiah's newby blows this out the water
Brand of Sacrifice - Foe of the Inhuman (ft. Eric Vanlerberghe) though!! Nasty breakdowns and great chorus!
I think this will be more in the area of AOTY. :D
A little early to be saying that after hearing Lorna’s new song!
YAAAAASSSSS!! 🤘😈🤘
The evolution of deathcore is truly remarkable. The black metal influence is just *chef's kiss*
I wish that intro was on the spotify version, it's so good
I'm pretty sure the acoustic intro is gonna be their first song on the album Avgang.
It maybe be the album intro 👀🌚
@@MentalCrueltyOfficial release an intro version and I'll love you forever and buy all the merch
Avgang
You are in luck friend
Those drums towards the beginning were absolutely insane.
When they make the choir sound during the lyric Satanus... whooo!! Never gets old!!
Bands on Unique Leader Records are responsible to the concussions I’ve incurred from head banging.
Edit: There Is No Tomorrow by Enterprise Earth has a fuck ton of acoustic guitar
Pleasee check out Snow-Sleep by Kardashev!
Yeah mate that song is one to behold
He finally did it.
The absolute mad lad.
Glad you enjoyed it. Definitely an album I'm highly anticipating.
Babirusa is a newer deathcore band to scene but their 2020 album Humanoid is absolutely amazing. Krosis is also an amazing progressive deathcore band. Definitely recommend checking them out
I agree
Babirusa debut was filthy and they're all genuinely good dudes! Got some signed stuff when I preordered and I didnt even ask for it
yep, i agree been trying to get him to check out those two bands for a while now. They both had monster albums last year both in my top 5 of the year.
Darker by Design - My Shrine of Flesh or The Descent II: Moral Ruin
Brand of Sacrifice were signed to Unique Leader Records but they’re an independent band now and they’re doing better than ever ! 🤩
And I really like where Mental Cruelty is going with their new direction ! 🔥
Oh you’ve been sleeping on them
The band Worm shepherd is also a band I bet you will accept into the scene. Very similar to this band actually. So I highly recommend! May not be too different from this band nowadays but as you said, we need more of this so there's a variety of many bands we can choose from instead of like maybe 5 bands that is holding onto this subgenre of deathcore. They released new material just last year and it's their debute album aswell so would be worth doing a reaction for imo. Think the band has members from Distant also but could be wrong
I don't usually go for music this heavy but this is pretty cinematic and sick haha definitely caught me in a mood haha this is wild // 4:34 chord change
"Cabal - Drag Me Down" next plz!🖤
This song turned my on to Mental Cruelty and I am so thankful for it lol. I had listened to their other stuff before, but they hadn’t grabbed me until this track. This track achieves so much atmosphere and emotion while still being epic and evil, which is what I believe makes it a step up from Immortal by Lorna Shore (apart from the title track from that album). A lot of blackened deathcore lacks the emotion that this track (and the newest single, which I will soon get to) have, and that is what separates it from the rest to me. The newest single, “A Hill to Die Upon” (also the title track to the album) is actually a superior track to this one imo. That said, I don’t think it’s as good of a track for reactions since it is far more dense than this track and imo takes more time to really get into. It is more blackened than this track, more atmospheric, less slammy, more melodic and in my opinion also more emotionally resonant. Both of these are actually my tracks of the year thus far tho, and I am fully expecting A Hill to Die Upon to be magnificent in every way.
Thanks alot Matt🖤
Loving this one a lot. Mental Cruelty was decent before this, but this album has me very excited. I absolutely love the true black metal feel of the riffing and melodies here. Lucca's vocals have become incredible as well. Definitely a very evil track. Also, the solo was crazy, the featured guitarist Yo toured and played with Rings of Saturn for a bit, and he'a ridiculous
Brand of Sacrifice is actually independent. Their God Hand album was with Unique Leader, I think. Anyways, super pumped for this album! Nothing can top their 2018 album "Purgatorium" for brutality and extreme heaviness, but they've definitely got a good sound going for them with this track.
I’ve been tired of deathcore for a bit but this “new wave” of blackened/symphonic elements are really interesting to me. I’ve really liked the melodic elements too being thrown into the mix with the chugs and breakdowns.
Glad you finally got into this, they really improved with this track, hope they keep this direction.
I've got to give you a shoutout, because of your channel I have found some great bands. These guys are so good.
Finally, have been waiting for this!
How about A Hill To Die Upon as well🤷♂️🤷♂️it's even better
That boi Yo Onityan is a naughty one.
I'm always so so on Solos in deathcore songs, sometimes they're amazing, sometimes they feel forced. This Solo though fits too perfectly. It jives so well with the mood of the song AND music video. It was like the guitar was speaking the sorrow of the people in the video. Magnifique! *chef finger kiss*
Devil Sold His Soul are dropping their new album any minute. Please check out one of the 2 singles theyve dropped thus far. Theyre both phenomenal. The record has had some fantastic words said about it already, man Im so hyped its unreal.
Sounds like you might like Fórn. They're sludge doom with a lot of well written instrumental variety.
Sick reaction!
You should give the new Distant dual-videoclip for Rakva & Vermilion Rivers a try! Will fit right up in your alley 🤘
You really really need to do the newer one too, a hill to die upon. Its INSANE.
"Is that it?"
Mental Cruelty, take note...EVERYONE wants moooorrreeeee!!!
Mate consider checking out Babirusa, Australia just slams with deathcore. Their vocalist took part in every vocal cover contest made by deathcore bands like AngelMaker, so consider them.
If you're into this kind of deathcore (variety of instruments, 'mature' sound and structure), definitely check out Worm Sheperd - Accursed!
Damn this song goes hard the whole time!
pretty sick, I am hooked..
MOAR! Mental Cruelty - A Hill To Die Upon
Track of the year, man!
That ending 😍
Well could be wrong but sadly my guess is that guitar work will not be in other songs ( sounded like Yo Onityan )
Yes
FINALLLLYYYY
Their new album fucking slammmmmms
THE SOLO
Bout time, jeez
Oh let's go! The germans know how to do it! :D
🖤🖤🖤
I don’t listen to old school Deathcore I enjoy new school Deathcore
Can You Make A Video Reaction To The Trap Metal Singer Scarlxrd's Song Drxwn 6x Please?
He has done scarlxrd hes not overly fond of it
It’s like hypocrite but with an a instead of e
Pretty damn good can’t help but think they have been influenced by Lorna shore!
ze other one iza faster
Unironic Satanism might be the cringiest thing in existence. Nice sounding song though.
Is that actually what it’s about or are you just assuming that based off of the video
@@johnnykooks4096 I’ve read the lyrics. It’s what it’s about.
@@ghostgate82 I see. Well based off of the music video I wouldn’t necessarily assume it’s actual personal experience as opposed to telling a story.
@@johnnykooks4096 They’re talking about summoning Satan in the actual lyrics. Regardless of whether it’s personal opinion or not, it’s cringe (but it clearly is their disposition).
@@ghostgate82 gotcha. Yeah I agree
