Fantastic news that all the UKTV channels and services are back on Virgin as of Sat 11th August. Virgin say a long term deal has been done that benefits customers. Including for the first time GOLD HD (coming soon) and up to 5 times as much On Demand content from UKTV!,
This a shocking situation, while I agree Virgin have messed up here, the guy from virgin made a valid point about programming from UKTVs payed for channels ending up on their free to air channels. This has been happening a lot recently, where programs like Porridge from Gold is then shown on Yesterday!, the major point being, that Gold is a subscription channel and Yesterday is free to air, that surely can’t be fair can it?, If a channel is free to watch on all other providers, it should be free on Virgin Media, either way, they need to sort this quickly. Virgins twitter and Facebook was on meltdown over the weekend with furious customers, Losing 10 stample tv channels will surely cost Virgin in customers, it’s got to!
